I think the main thing Gus is worried about is their friendship. Friendships can survive just about anything except for one getting married. And it's not even intentional, it just kinda... happens. It's the worst way to lose a friend.

i liked this scene and how it played out with shawns toy. i dont see guss being upset but thinking about what the ring means. shawn really being serious about someone he cares about and the fact that him and guss being friends for the longest time, pretty much like brothers and now he realizes they have grown up, still being child like and funny but being grown up now.

Yeah Shules!!! I wonder how Lassie is going to take the engagement of his partner to his frenemie???? Then there is his dad whos gonna be proud of him but what about Gus? He already knows what is gonna happen but I think he also believes Shawn will be so caught up with Juliet that he forgets all about him or he becomes really excited. Either way can't wait for the engagement!!!!!!

And about Gus - it will be different for sure but it doesn't mean they can't still be friends. They do work together and they see each other on a daily basis and just because you're married it doesn't mean you can't spend some time with your friends. :)

For some strange reason, I honestly hated this scene. I felt like it was way too rushed and I wish they took the shules relationship slower on the show. Idk, just my opinion. I'd rather of had them wait til season 7 to show the ring, and him actually propose rather than us seein the ring now and knowing that that's not gonna happen for a while. Idk it just bothers me how they did this...

@psychfan564 I like this scene because you have to remember - they know each other for six years now and this is natural for him to think about marriage. Plus this is Shawn we're talking about and he doesn't really know how to act with this relationship so it's normal for him to get the ring so soon - but like you said - this is just my opinion :).

They could have so easily gone for the cliche, but having Gus discover it was perfect. Marriage will change his relationship with Shawn, arguably even moreso than Shules' simply because they would change the partnership so much. When you marry, you need to be ready to put your spouse first, and I wonder how both Shawn and Gus will handle that. If that makes any sense.

I about died when I saw this for the first time...I was eating something and I started choking on it. True story. All I could think was "Shawn was going to ask Jules to marry him!...but now he knows she's not ready to get married...I can't believe he pretended he wasn't ready, either...oooh, so THAT'S why he was having a hissy fit about losing the Nintendo...whaaa??? Gus's face....I'm going to cry....what's going to happen to him when Shawn gets married?..." It was just way too much to process.
