  • my mother's all-time favorite song written in 1919. It's beautiful. They played it in the film "Out Of Africa" I like the way you sing it and INCLUDE THE VERSE. Thank you.

  • I was also looking for this song to put on my grandma's funeral program.. She passed away last night at age 99 - an incredible woman of God, teacher and pianist. The use of the piano in this song sounded just like her! Thank you

  • Thanks for posting this. My grandma passed just passed away, and this was one of her favorite songs. We are printing a handout with her picture and the lyrics to this song to hand out at the visitation. Listening to the lyrics was a big help for accuracy, but emotionally, too!

  • You're welcome, I am sorry to hear about your loss.

  • I have listened to this song since I was a child. My mother's favorite song, my dad played it on the piano regularly for her. A great memory. Very true and beautiful rendition.

  • Hello Annette, I just heard this song after my aunt Bertha died. The tune came into my head as I was awakening on Oct. 30. I knew that it was not a song that I had heard so I called my mom and It was from 1919. I thought that my aunt Bertha could have sent it to comfort me in my sorrow. Have you ever had anything like this happen to you? Frances
