it's not an AK47, it's not an AK74, ITS AN AKM. AKM's are updated versions of the AK47, and made before the AK74. Look it up.

@futurerev21 you cant tell if wood is crappy by how it looks, as long as it is sold and has no major knots and is a type of hard wood then it is probably i decent peice of wood. the coloring of the wood may not appeal to all people but that is just the stain and lacquer they used and to me it looks pretty authentic to a real ak-47. i would say the wood probably isnt crappy so i wouldnt worry about it because overall this gun seems like a very sturdy and well made gunn even for being a low price

echo 1 is a better quality manufacturer. this ak is also better built ( externally and maybe internally) than the cyma one. not that this is the same as the cm046, but my friend had an ak from cyma, and in the middle of a battle, he tripped over a log and dropped it. it broke in two. :( . I laughed at him haha clumsy

a 9.6 should do the job just fine. you'll get an increased rof and range without wearing the hell out of your gearbox as fast as a lipo would.

@msantiana i use a g&p intellect 9.6v 1600mAh mini with a battery adapter, but if you want, you can try to squeeze a large in (i haven't tried). if it doesn't fit, at least you'll have a large 9.6v you might be able to use with another gun later on, or you could try to sell it on a forum. either way though, definately buy .25g's.

@msantiana Go with a lipo, since this gun has a high torque motor and a heavy spring an 8.4 or 9.6 will give you 10-12bbps, go with a lipo for an increased rof at about 14-18. These guns are built rock solid and can handle lipo just fine.

The accuracy is also pretty precise. Not to mention the sturdiness of it with the full metal and wood body. So yeah, if you want to buy an airsoft gun, this is definately worth the money.
