@Dabearszim1 Really? I saw him knock a left tackle on his behind as the guard engaged him down low (in the second highlight). I'm sure the Bears are happy to have someone who has the ability to take care of two linemen simultaneously.
@KevinKolbGOAT I did see that one... I just hope he can be even better than Tommie Harris was at one time. I think for a Stephen Paea highlight reel I would like to see him get some sacks and make a few tackles.
@Dabearszim1 This is all from one game. If you want to see a suped-up compilation music video with nothing but sacks and TFL that gives you an unrealistic portrait of what the player is like snap-in-and-snap-out, see the related videos.
He wont get the pass rush of Ngata but he CAN get sacks & provide rush if he gets into situations where he's single teamed. Most of the time he'll take up 2 guys and do a great job keeping them occupied while Peppers / Idonije / Adams can get sacks.
With Adams and Paea clogging the middle thats ALOT of 1-on-1s for Peppers
Hes also great against the Run even when hes double teamed
He's a good player but he looks undersized for a DT in the NFL. At the NFL level he would be a good DT in a d-line rotation. But if he plays too many snaps he'll wear down because of lack of size. He would be a good pick in the second round.
@cornelius386 hes an inch shorter then warren sapp and weighed 300 lbs (same as sapp), this whole being to small thing is BS, i dont know how many times its been proven that if you work hard it dont matter if your 5'6 or 6'6.
He falls for the screen thats a d-linemens job is to hit the qb first regardless. Players have assignments you would know that if you ever played football. From what Ive seen this dudes a beast. He really hasnt been blocked all game from what Ive seen and he has some speed for a big guy. Seems like a Ngata but maybe a better pass rusher.
@BokeyBoi407 Agreed. Coming out of college, Ngata was known to be a physical freak of nature with ridiculous body control for a DT/NT. While Paea cannot play in space as well as Ngata, he does have a good nose for the ball. Seems more suited as a 5-technique or nose-tackle in a four-man front. Will be a good pick-up for any team needing a two-gap player.
He's all right, but he'll be a 2 year project in the NFL. He gets turned around a lot on misdirection, and falls for the screen nearly 100% of the time.
@whutbrush I guess your one of those who like to talk like they know what they are talking about. We will see. I think hell have a bigger impact in the NFL within those 2 yrs you give him.
@icecru2 Dam!! 49, did they do the D lineman on NFL network over the weekend? Ya, I heard alot of bad things talked about Ngata when he entered the NFL.
Looked more like Ducks highlights to me...I didn't see him do anything!....I hope JA seen something.
