Running up-hill at Runyon is awesome!! Running down-hill is stupid beyond measure. 90 percent of the people who run at Runyon Canyon walk UP-hill and then run DOWN-hill. Hollywood isn't known for having the brightest of bulbs.

yea, i used to live of santa monica blvd in the russian neighborhood. I would run runyon all the time and to the top like you only without stopping...gotta keep your heartrate up to increase your stamina

Yo I run the canyon about 3 times a week, but I never run the route you ran. Which entrance do you take? I take the entrance on Fuller then follow the trail to the right up the hill past the old tennis courts. That's where the ultimate hill is. I'd like to try your route though.

this reminds me of the time i went bouldering at joshua tree. i bled within the first ten minutes, pricked my finger. wasn't my fault some kid swung it at me, and i blocked it with my hands. anyway, it was so much fun, climbing up, but such a pain to walk back down especially with all those switchbacks
