  • THIS BAND IS THE TITS

  • And a side question. Why am I called a fool by almost everyone for listening to this awesome band?

  • fuckin sturdy

  • THIS IS WHERE I BELONG THIS IS WHERE WE BELONG

  • It's nice to look in the statistics of this song. Sweden is actually one of their biggest fan bases! I'm proud to have been one of the first ones and also getting it played at the radio.

  • Going to see them on Saturday! Im soooo pumped!

  • i love the clean vocals in the end, i love singing them!!!

  • @clanofhyrule ikr, the few times they do use cleans it fits so damn well

  • @SilversteinRescue Which of their other songs have cleans?

  • @Adam27X not many, Isolation has a little at the end, MMVII has a siiick clean part at the end, Prophets has a little bit. This song and MMVII have the most, which isnt much.

  • @SilversteinRescue Thanks a lot man!

P.S. Huge fan of Silverstein. Saw them last Thursday with August Burns Red. Glad to know I'm not the only one who can appreciate both Counterparts and Silverstein.

  • @Adam27X I'm also a big fan of Counterparts and Silverstein. My music taste is pretty random since I also love Flobots!

  • @Adam27X yeah dude im seeing them in a few weeks gonna be sick. I remember checking out this band when I saw this album on Verona Records site a week after it came out, loved it.

  • drums should be a bit higher in the mix. specifically: the snare

  • @Viperplayer187 I can hear it fine... probly cuz i got good sound on my laptop...

  • @1993Shane Don't wanna hear it, I wanna feel it.

  • @Viperplayer187 I understand xp

  • I cant wait to see them live =)

  • MAKE SURE TO WATCH IN HD!!!

  • reminds me alot of misery signals, i dont exactly know why but just....kinda

  • Just saying, they should keep the clean vocalist as a permanent addition to the band. :3

  • this is amazing. fuck yes canada

  • I just covered this song on guitar! I fucking love this song :$ CANADIAN HARDCORE FTW

  • hardcore punk all the way

  • 1:39 ohhhh shitttt here it comes!!!!!

  • Isn't melodic hardcore, guys.

  • @intothepit83 its just hardcore thats melodic lol

  • @barret2378 Yeah, except Counterparts aren't melodic hardcore

  • if you think thy need a clear vocalist play it in HD...... you suck balls.

  • Will never get sick of this beautiful sound

  • i need to clarify things I LOVE THIS BAND i saw emm 4 times and im very much in melodic hardcore these guys see themselves as a melodic hardcore band i cool with all the members and everything relax its just a genre

  • im not really into the vocals, but the instruments are a thing of beauty!

  • they need a cleat vocal singer and its perfect!♥

  • k, not in to hardcore music at all, or should i say metalcore before anyone fucks me up, i just listen to this because this is my buddy's band (and it's an awesome song) but can't we all just get along and listen to the song?

  • 1:42 just blew my mind

  • To be honest I agree with the latest comments. Why care about the genre anyway? By the way I suggested this band to a rock radio host at bandit rock (Swedish radio station) and he played this song and thought it was awesome. I hope more people will spread the word :)

  • im so fucking glad i found this band.

  • THIS IS WHERE I BELONG, THIS IS WHERE WE BELONG

  • s it just me or do these guys resemble Misery Signals?

Oh and its definitely metalcore. Kids these day are trying too hard to over specify music. Have no idea of its roots. To me "melodic hardcore" is an oxymoron.

This is good stuff though for sure. Definitely gonna check out their new album.

  • @thorrider60 I checked it up and this is Melodic Hardcore.

  • @Gurkmassa

Where you getting your info from? Wiki? You really shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.

Like I said "melodic hardcore" is an overspecification of a genre wich already exsists (ie metalcore) IMO.

In the song I hear two genres metal and hardcore (ie metalcore). I dont need to go look it up to know what im hearing.

  • seeing these guys today/tommorow idk its late and i dont feel like looking at a clock all iknow is that someone getting fucked up

  • thank you god bless

  • @PinealGlandInfinity I was going to be a troll about your religious views, but I love this fucking song to much and can give a fuck less, just letting you know.

  • @PinealGlandInfinity Holy shit I didn't realize you where on my friends list

  • @BeforeThePlagues hell yeah dude

  • 1080p up in this bitch.

  • EVERYTHING!!!

  • My genre identifying skills aren't up to par anymore! How am I going to know i'm better than you now?

Shut the hell up and listen to the music.

  • lol adtr is not pop punk, it would be more like post hardcore

  • I'm not crazy about it but its ok

  • @Skullcandy812 what do you listen to then?

  • @coltlikesmuffins Who gives a shit what he listens to? It's called an opinion let him have one

  • @Vinsanity2K cool dude its called a conversation let me have one. idiot

  • @coltlikesmuffins well lots of stuff I guess O.O does it matter it really matter what I listen to one way or the other :P

  • Holy f***! How is it even possible to create music that's this good? Lots of people that I know don't give post hardcore, metalcore and related genres a chance just because they think the screaming is horrible. I was like them before. But know I'm ''immune'' and don't actually care about how much they scream in a song anymore. As long as the song has a good melody and cause.

  • A day to remember is poppunk u derp their influences include blink 182 retard

  • @Goopydisc Normally I hate getting into the genre debate since it can differ depending on opinion but I wouldn't call ADTR pop punk, I would say they are hardcore, probably post-hardcore actually. Oh and you mistake influences for "sounds like", you can be influenced by a band and still sound nothing like it.

  • @huhhhhhhhhhhhh09 a mix of pop and post-hardcore

  • Comment removed

  • @bourdovalos1 i disagree. It's definitely not post-hardcore. It's just great music

  • @bourdovalos1 ADTR is pop punk & metalcore.

About Counterparts.. Well there isn't much to say that hasn't already been said, but they're fucking siiiiccckkkk, new album this fall !!

  • @thethickofthings that's pretty right on the head. They are just pop-punk with breakdowns.

  • Jesus Fuck people! Just call it heavy metal like normal people used to! Who cares if it's melodic core, hardcore punk, metal core, nu metal, hardcore, black metal, or any more bullshit names!!! Just call it heavy fucking metal! We all love this song so quit arguing which confusing fucking genre it is!

  • @hardrockerbuilder But... you just can't call heavy metal to this kind of music, you can say that Amon Amarth is heavy metal, you can say that Cannibal Corpse is heavy metal, but THIS particulary kind of music isn't (bands like Parkway Drive, A Day To Remember and this, they have more hardcore influences than even metal influences). I'm like you, I also don't like when people say "yo this isn't herpcore it's derp metal" but not this time, it's a bad call IMO. BTW great band =D

  • role models?

  • Comment removed

  • This song has genius written all over it !

  • These guys are great, buying this CD tomorrow.

  • I can't beleive these guys aren't much more famous. They are awesome!

  • just gets better from @1:42 :D

  • the riff at 0:45 is so simple, yet i think it's the best riff in the song.

  • @Viperplayer187 unlucky that the riff is so short : P

  • holy jesus fuck!!! I'm not huge into metalcore, but damn. just damn, this band is pure beauty. one of the most in your face and commanding bands ive ever heard from this style of music

  • @Viperplayer187 its not metalcore its melodic hardcore

  • @FifeXeno hardcore is punk. this is not punk. but its all just rock n roll so who the fuck cares

  • @Viperplayer187 who the fuck cares about the genre

  • @Viperplayer187 Metalcore itself is a fusion of metal and hardcore, so that by that logic it's not metalcore either.

Anyway, it's definitely got some metal in it, so metalcore fits, but it's heavier on the hardcore influence than the metal.

  • @FifeXeno

No thats more the carrier faggot

  • @SebStorm no one cares shut the fuck up and stop talkin shit over the internet

  • @FifeXeno The genre doesn't matter to me. Usually I don't listen to music like this but these guys really got talent. I hope more people start listening to them.

  • @FifeXeno which is more or less the same thing man

  • @FifeXeno Just a question, are you really sure it's melodic hardcore. I've looked that genre up and from what I learned that style contain more clean vocals than growls.

  • @Gurkmassa well thats true but this is like the more hardcore side of it where it contains alot of screaming

  • @FifeXeno It's damn amazing that's what it is, the next album is going to be some next level stuff hold onto your eardrums.

  • @FifeXeno Although I think labels are pretty stupid as far as genres go, wasn't the original definition of metalcore melodic metal and or hardcore before everything started to become overly specific, secular and compartmentalized...?

  • @FifeXeno Ehh ik what you mean by saying its melodic hardcore, but its mostly metal core, with some very 2 step like meoldic hardcore riffs. Dont forget if your taking traditional hardcore, this is nothing like hardcore

  • @FifeXeno melodicdeathhard blahblah core. Why can't it just be called good music?

  • @ZombieReptar it is good music not all is the same

  • @FifeXeno do titles honestly matter?

  • @ZombieReptar Why's everyone so uptight about the "Genre discussion". I love music, all music, and genre has no effect on whether or not I like it. That being said, some of us who have a passion for music like to learn about it. I wanna know what I'm hearing, what makes it what it is, where it came from, it's part of my appreciation of it. That's what it comes down to, an extension of music appreciation.

  • @Viperplayer187 i dunno man, its annoying.

  • @FifeXeno Why does it have to be classified as anything other than music we all just genuinely enjoy?

Different genres are a matter of opinion for the most part anyways.

  • @FifeXeno pretty much a mixture of the two, dont lie to yourself :)

  • @FifeXeno there is literally no difference outside of the breakdowns, stop being a genre whore.

  • @CBabyIcedOut shut the fuck up i cant take you retarded assholes

  • best ontario band

  • Amamzing :0
