I live in Granville Island. It's amazing.

Downtown Vancouver isn't that big, but it's a fair size. Big enough to keep you entertained for the day.

Skiing, scuba diving at Whytecliff, and/or rock climbing at Squamish. If one has not done before then can take lessons. Or see Shannon Falls, hike up Stawamus Chief or to Garibaldi Lake. I'd go to Lynn Canyon instead of Capilano (free). Ice skating is year round. Otherwise there are art, music, academic, personal growth and spiritual activities.

Ok, everyone keeps saying "You can go skiing and hit the beach all in the same day". No you can't. Skiing is only in the Winter Months, Whistler Skiing is great, but, the beaches here SUCK. They're rocky, the water is cold even in the Summer, and everything is super expensive. Vancouver is not the greatest, it's not even close!

in ontario apart from the famous places like toronto and niagra falls is ontario pretty much a prairie type of province. even though it isnt classed as a prairie province is it very similar? So far the most interesting parts of canada to me seem to be bc and the mountainous areas of alberta and new foundland. Quite alot of the rest of canada seems to be flat long roads with endless fields and lakes

Just got back, dude when I was there and having dinner one night with family, out of nowhere I started smelling weed.. then I looked outside the restaurant window and theres these two people smoking a joint, just like that, like it was nothing... at a restaurant! I work at the hospital so I cant smoke weed. Never have actually. But I Had a great time in Vancouver though!

1. Visiting the city's most beautiful secret, Deep Cove in North Vancouver for a beer, lunch and kayaking

2. Lynn Canyon Park & Suspension Bridge (No Cost and Fewer People than Capilano)

3. Horseshoe Bay

4. Hiking around the University of British Columbia

5. English Bay
