  • I want that drummer's tank top.

  • @BagofHay He's more than a drummer he is SLIM JIM PHANTOM!!

  • the best better than orginals. you know you they are!!!

  • I just love this version..what showmen!!!

  • What a great version...almost recreated a classic.....the voice and guitar work really carries it....

  • Wish this concert was released on dvd, Stray cats at their best, Brian Setzer is a master musician, never tire of listening to these guys, magic.

  • everyone noticed the drummer is standing? Ofcourse! you can't sit relaxed when you hear rockabilly!

  • move aside elvis!

  • great fucking perform..

  • What can you say, they were simply great. Being from the 50's, he remains me of Eddie Cochran, look it up.

  • They are so fucking hot. and really, fucking great-good music

  • Wow that was Briliant...Loved it :-)

  • I want to be his Baby doll >//<

  • The Stray Cats have Be Bob A Lula in a strangle hold!

  • @arnocardon, I think it is.

  • f***cking great! better than Gene...

  • B Setzer kicks Fing Ass! Today's poor youth are listening to rap crap and IDOL junk it is complete junk! Saw them a few times back in the day. Such a Blast so so much better then todays garbage. Youth learn to play do your own thing reject the crap on IDOL someone need to kick Simon in the face he is a complete tool! What would the Sex Pistols Do? The would stuff him in a garbage can on Suset Strip.!!!!!

  • i like it <3

    MY big cat ;)

  • i like it <3

  • is that eddie cochran on slim jim's t-shirt?

  • @arnocardon Sure looks like it!

  • PURE and original RocknRoll!

A Better than Elvis or other late 50's RocknRoll Stars!

  • They make this song sound so dirty...it's amazing.

  • the John Lennon version is DOPE

  • Una de mis bandas favoritas :D

  • Setzer sounds a lot like gene vincent in this one. though he sounds like everybody he covers, especially elvis and eddie Cochran haha. i like the drummer slim jim and bass player lee rocker whom ive met, but Setzer always seems like a one man show in every performance. best guitar playingg ever!! dude seems he can go on for hours and hours on one solo.

  • Nobody appreciates Slim Jim. I"ve been a professional drummer for 35 years & the thought of gigging with a 2 piece kit is the stuff of nightmares for most drummers. I used to use a 9piece w/2 kicks & it took 2 years to scale it back to 5.

  • HE IS ROCK N ROLL .. THANKS BRIAN

  • Stray Cats comeback...please..

  • @benjamin80ify You fail hard at trolling

  • Wow! Got the 1st album when it came out but haven't ever seen these guys live. What a band. Real deal for sure! Sometimes you don't have to be too loud and fast to be pure class. Thanks for posting.

  • fine thing is: they held up the flag for idealistic as well as for rockin reasons in atime were thinking back was more or less considered "nostalgia". I couldn´t believe my ears when i heard Sexy ´n17 climbing up the hitparade it sounded to me from another world the rythm section was pure rocknroll plus a guy who declared "guitar lessons never hurt" which by the way isnt true, they do! being working man mr. Setzer knew you have to take your pride in your playing, giving your best. good man!

  • TOTALLY AWESOME.

  • I totally agree They should induct the stray cats into the rock in roll hall of fame. They is one of the only rockabilly bands who can play the older rock and rockabilly songs and play them like they should be played Brian Setzer should put up there with the greatest guitarist of all time. He never get much reconize for his guitar playing and his great talent has a musician.

  • One of the first great rock and roll songs from the late 50's. (Gene Vincent) This one and Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues" are classics.

  • thank GOD that this band came out in the eighties!

so much poser shit at the time.

this stuff is the real deal.

michael jackson and madonna are in the rnr hall of fame?? for what???

they suck.still do.PUT THIS BAND IN THR ROCKNROLL HALL OF FAME.

    DIE POSER MUSIC!

  • @gibsongold1970 right you are!

  • yeah^^...Brian Setzer rulez^^.....

  • He simply had it, very similar to Eddie Cochran, check it out.

  • LooserLover,, i'm afraid you do deserve a bollocking. I have great respect for Brian Setzer but this version sounds like a pub band in comparison witht the original.

Cliff Gallup Rules. I shall probably get a bollocking now !!

  • I would kill to know what chords hes playing from 3:30 to 3:38

  • @Target262 I think he's playing E and B7

  • Outstanding....what a talent.......

  • this concert in Paris is one of my favorites, and probably one of their best! thanks for posting those songs!

  • Okay, so I may get a bollocking for this comment but 100 times better than the original!

  • Fantastic!!!!!!!!! That's all...

  • i love them fell in love with brain and i just love it

  • I miss 'em. What a cracking band.

  • great show filmed in Paris ? check out films I made in Paris europeantourvideos dot com

  • That's it! I am dressing as a 50's bobbysoxer! I am in between that costume and a gypsy ..Not very original. but easy to put togeterh.

  • ch'trouve que c la meilleure version !!! a rock plus .. que la version studio !!!

  • Way to go brother's my babee doll ;)

  • Cool version.. same guitar intro as Led Zeppelin "Bring it on home"!

  • Hey, anyone knows where can i have the video of the complete live please?

  • Comment removed

  • You fuckin a, man. You were a criminal automatically wearing what you see in the video---1957! Especially the hair, jeans were okay, if you had the motorcycle, black boots were not! Parents did not like it, but the girls that did not gave a crap, but they gave. But, you needed the "silver bullet".

  • .........and can someone tell me why The Stray Cats are not in the rock n roll hall of fame? I mean.........they do play rock n roll pretty well don't they? The music industry is a fucking joke.

  • @frijolero01 They are one of the best rock´n´roll bands ever and we know it. I guess they don´tneed any formal approval.

  • I love the two guys behind him on the money which gives room for the front guy to do his stuff excellent.

  • seven people hit the "i want to be killed slowly and painfully by trueandclassic" button

  • Fuck, i can only like it once.

  • Caps off !!! This one will still be as hot in the year 23882

  • The National Anthem

  • lee rocker forever

  • Classic rendition of Gene's song.

  • i grew up listenin to these guys , love that double bass - and true showmanship , u just dont see that anymore , nowadays its all manufactured cheesy pop sh*te !

  • EXCELLENT!!!!5/5*****

  • What a guitar style ...fantastic BB king eat your heart out (although love BB lol)

  • be bob a lula

  • good!

  • This is what rockabilly is all about, classic!

  • thanx !!!!!!!!!

    bp

  • This is best!!!! it kicks the stuffing out of anything to day. I wish I could have been their.

  • 1959 Gretsch 6120 with Filtertron pick ups. Abso-fucking-lutely! The Holy Grail of electric guitars as far as I'm concerned. Match it to a Fender Super Reverb or even a couple of Vox AC30's. WOW! Setzer's the Man! Check out The Reverand Horton Heat. Great shockabilly/psychobilly! Don't forget Flat Duo Jets, another great band!

  • Brian Setzer is one of the worlds best guitarists

  • hes just singing what needs 2 be sung....and thats Gene Vincent..wot else is there????

  • EXCELLENT, now I know why my son as a teenage loved them. Sounds and acts like a modern day---Eddie Cochran.

  • @19thcentury

Back in the day Eddie Cochran was a rebel too, when your parents

found out you listened to him or even worse, start wearing a pompadour

like him (rockabilly hairdo), you were in big trouble.

  • @RmonSP

This song is by GENE VINCENT. . .

  • @RosalitaBU8

I am fully aware of that, I could have just named Elvis, or Jerry Lee Lewis for example...but I understand that I may have been confusing.

I was just naming a rockabilly legend as an example. ;)

  • Wow!! The 3 coolest (and rockingest) cats on the planet and in the galaxy. It doesn't get much better than this! Love,Love Love these guys!!!!!

  • lee is the coolest of them

  • awesome!!

  • The guy is a tone monster. . gets the best tones possible with that Gretsch and blond Fender . .

  • Fucking awesome!

  • How can on man be so talented? He plays a top-notch rock guitar and has a top-notch rock singing voice!

  • @phaeacantha and a top-notch songwriter :-)

  • @phaeacantha and he's a snappy dresser, too...

  • @phaeacantha was? :D

  • @phaeacantha What really inspired me at this performance is that excert that massive rock feel and the very expressive voice he also has an original bluesy feel when he wants to....Trully a great musician above musical styles

  • @phaeacantha i really must say that i think Lee rocker makes 50% of this band!

  • @phaeacantha Practice.

  • These guys are smokin'! Thanks for posting!

  • they look so fiiiine

  • OMG ..Lee Rocker *.* LAV<3

  • i was lucky to be in the vip's places to this monster show in paris

  • So this is really ironic. I just got a kitten today, and I named her Alula (after the star, not this song), and my aunt sent me a link by Stray CATS to Be-Bop A-Lula.

  • nice !

  • Gene Vincent be dancin' on his own grave to this tune! You go, Cats!

  • what a voice.

  • i think brian setzer is actually a closet blueser, he's just havin too much fun with this tune.. :)

  • I would like to hear him playing a slow blues.

  • I guess Drink That Bottle Down might quench your thurst then... Cheers

  • Thanks! I'm gonna look for it!

  • You most certainly should! :) Cheers

  • I heard it!! It's great!!! Thank you so much!!

  • Welcome, glad to have been of service! Rock on my friend!

  • "...The tremendous excitement he generated, an excitement that was contagious----A good looking rock star with radiating energy & vitality, a magnetic, irrestible current of warmth & contagious good sense of humor...Absolutamente hermoso y sorprendente!!! MERCI!!! salamat sa puesto..."

  • Brian and the Gretcsh, a match made in heaven

  • you are so right man!!

  • Under rated guitar player - he ought ta have a bigger global presence - muscular music with a bucket of hair gel. What's he doing now?

  • played in quebec, with the ''brian setzer orchestra'' 2-3 weeks ago... but damn i missed it bcause i was in france...

  • hes a nun.

  • Right now he's making music as The Brian Setzer Orchestra. It's sort of a swing/jump blues revival kind of thing, just as insanely energetic as Stray Cats but going back to the 40s instead of 50s.

  • hit it brothers!!!!!

  • bass0111...,,.seems like your the only 1 with that opinion

  • That´s great song...

    amazing performance...

    Mauro from São Paulo, Brazil

  • yess very good song !

combines alot of music genres into one song no matter the style.

  • omg yeeeee

  • I think you and I should meet up.. If your a girl that is...

  • Haha Im a girl. Unfortunately I like other girls. But I appreciate men who wear tights or leather.

  • That's even better, how's that unfortunate

  • Good point. Ok unfortunate for Norwayflex89!

  • Yeh I know it's unfortunate for Norwayflex89 but I'm a guy aswell, there's nothing wrong with liking other girls, I still see as good thing instead of unfortunate.

  • Only Brian can pull off having "ROCKER" on his leather jacket. :)

  • Yep Westlife can't.

  • COME ON ROCKABILLY FOR EVER

  • The Song is so cool.

  • Great! Viva el rockabilly!!

  • Stupend!!! wonderful performance, like all others performed by Stray Cats, Brian really is once the best interperters to true rockabilly.

    Congratulations

    Mendes/Brasil

    Mucho gusto

    Suerte!

  • i never knew they were so good, they are better live than on a vinyl!
