But within short grain rice, there are different variety and grade. Koshihikari, mentioned in the video said to be the best of Japanese rice, and at the bottom of the barrel, there are no name varieties distributed by the government you can buy pretty cheap.

If you don't eat rice everyday, the chances are you probably won't be able to tell the difference.
