i am looking forward to this film because of the filmmakers and the producer (coppola), but i hate the fact that all the hype about it is cuz of kristen stewart, who has a small part in the scheme of the film (judging from the book and the trailer), from the terrible "twilight" films. ppl should just accept it 4 the fact that it's based on one of the greatest (if not the greatest) literary creations of all time. thank you, tyrone, for seeing sense.

Garrett Hedlund is the perfect Dean Moriaty, Walter Salles was right casting him in thie film. Kristen Stewart is just a supporting character in the movie.

I don't what Kristen Stewart can contribute for the movie, and I also never heard about the book and the author, but I love Walter Salles' work since "Central do Brasil (Central Station)" and he is a very competent director and he is an inspiration to me I am also a brazilian and I see him like a wonderful example for me. Good luck for him, and I waiting like Penelope in Odyssey to see this movie, really I'm feeling like that, I'm very anxious!

I'm an extra for that movie. I saw kristen Stewart in person today at the practice of a scene. i still can't believe i saw her in real. There was also Garrett Hedlund there.

By the way Coppola has had the rights to this film for decades. The main reason he never produced or directed the film is because he has never had a decent script or "vision" for the film. I hope to God Stewart gets kicked out of this movie... Salles I believe is perfect for the directing spot, but Stewart? That chick cannot act...

I haven't read the book yet. But I read the first draft of the script and I loved it. The casting is good in my opinion. I've seen almost all the works of Stewart and she's a great actress. I've been a fan of her way back before Twilight. And of course, Garrett Hedlund (did I hear you say Gerald? Haha) is a respectable actor. He has always been cast as a supporting role and I'm happy he's getting the lead now. So... I'm excited for this movie.
