I am only 16 and i march Inan open class winter guard. Open class the age out is 21. and in world class there is no age out. And obviosly for scholastic guards the age out is when u graduate. Independent A i believe the age out is also 21. DCI, the age out is 21.

wonderful video. and its all so very true. im only a freshman but this will be my 5th year in guard and i love it. it makes up who i am and i would not be who i am without it. the magic of it all is amazing and im sure any other guard member could relate to that insane feeling you get for those 4 incredible minutes on the floor. hopefully ill see you in dayton at some point. happy spinning :D

Happy winterguard season to you! I'm excited that marching season has finally pushed aside and now the bigger nad better things are up.

Haha drill team guys..they think theyre stronger, but they stand still while doing all their stuff. Put some contemporary dance in there and I'LL reconsider. =]

guard is a disgrace, try tossing something around that weighs more than 2 pounds......

when any guard member can do the moves that drill teams do with at least an 8.5 pound rifle...then maybe ill reconsider

Some drum corps age out at 24, but I'm pretty sure winterguard ages out at 21.

ya DCI but WGI there is no ageout you can march till your dead it doesnt matter they are two different things DCI is drum corps and WGI is color guard

@BlessedsacKAYLA actually, WGI isnt just guard. indoor drumline and guard are in the same category as WGI. i also believe there is an ageout in WGI.

this video was simply beautiful, ive never been to wgi, my guard is all the way in Reg B, are drumline is in Sch A(not that good though), and i just dont have the money to travel, and when i see the guard videos and seeing the performers faces at the end of there program is amazing to see them laughin silly and cryin at the same time is amazing. im graduating this year and i REALLY wanna do a guard that goes to wgi, it will be AWESOME, if it happens
