  • And don't worry when you have a hard time putting the new botts on for the first few days.... it is really hard when it is new... I worked a sweat for the first 2 days, almost cried of tiredness and because I thought I had bought the wrong size... But thankfully my boots are perfect, it was just because it was brand new!!!

  • @Evelinekrs Boots always feel tight when they are new but as you said give it a few days and things will start to feel better.

  • Last year I bought my first pair of boots after renting for a few years... What a difference!!! I have one tip for those who are thinking about purchasing their first pair of ski boots: bring your own pair of ski socks to the store... the ones you will actually use to ski.

  • @Evelinekrs Having your own boots makes a huge difference and it's a good piece of advice to wear the socks that she will actually ski in wise words indeed.

  • Fantastic instructor! I have shared your videos with many people.

  • @altasierrasupercoop Glad you like the videos thanks for passing them on.

  • Best teacher ever! :D

  • @MsMbunch Thanks a lot enjoy the snow!

  • thanks for all the tips, ur vids is absolutely informative and helpful. :)

  • @pinkbabie1705 Glad you like the videos remember if you use an iPhone you can download a whole series of lessons straight onto your phone has a good winter.

  • I didnt realize you had more videos this will help a lot of boy scouts :D

  • Thanks alot of help :D

  • @Commanderfury44 Not a problem. Glad you liked it.

  • You are absolutely right: If your boot is not adjusted 100% correct do it right away when you notice, don't postpone it! Since you will probably have a lot of time on the lifts going back up this is actually a good time to adjust them (unless it's a drag lift of course)!

I like to ride with my boots really tight or the ride will feel wrong and as if the skis are a little wobbly!

  • @geronimodk Yes, that can be unnerving. If you haven't already then make sure you see a reputable ski boot fitter and get custom made insoles. We've got a series of videos coming on common ski boot problems so do keep checking back!

  • Good video - although I would suggest that you do not do up the instep buckle until you have flexed forward pushing the heel into the heel cup. The momentum of puting the boot on leave teh heel out of its pocket and the instep foward of the highest point of the boot.

Boot on, buckle top two, flex tighten boot up leaving the third buckle or instep until last. If you have teh right size boot you wil only need the buckles to close the shell not tighten teh boot up heaps.

  • @MrDivillo Glad to be of help. For demo purposes we shot this outside, but do bear in mind that a warm ski boot is also easier to put on - as the plastic is softer, so where possible put your boots on indoors! Enjoy your skiing this winter.

  • Yeah, not only lessons for expert skiers. There are a lot of begginers out there, and they will appreciate basic lessons. Thanks.

  • @zuipli Thanks for your kind words Zuipli. We will be posting more skiing tips for all levels of skiers, - and more general (and fun) skiing stuff later in the season. If you have an iPhone check out our apps on the app store - just search for "Ski School" in iTunes.
