  • he's reading off a screen :')

  • How do you relax your vocal chords? how can they be flexible?

  • @CauseItsVoodoo i think that is what all the exercises are about

  • I wanted to get the free mini course but when I don't know what should be my password... I just signed up with my name and email... How do I get a password?

  • You are so awesome! God Bless You! Thanks a lot!

  • Ian i actually notice my vibrato progressing!! Thank you soo much i do this exercise once everyday

  • This is the best explanation of vibrato I've ever heard, and I've been listening to loads of You Tube singing lessons. Thank you. Here's wishing you all the best. :-)

  • Bravo! That was great instruction.

  • I think it's one of the best vibrato improving lesson on youtube. Thanks for uploading and good luck on your work.

  • This is great, thanks so much. I've been told that vibrato shouldn't be a conscience thing. The only way I can produce is if I imagine swerving between two notes, and it feels very inorganic. When I sing relaxed and natural its just a strait note. Will it become a more natural thing? Should I imagine the swerving between the notes

  • great channel :D - subbed. Dai.

  • thank you soo much ^_^

  • i love the last exercise, reminds me of jaws :)

  • Really good stuff

  • I saw a video on how to develop vibrato and there was one technique wear u drop your arm while singing a long note and ur natural vibrato comes out, does that technique help to or is it fake vibrato? repy please! :)

  • These excersises really hit home for me thank you!!

  • Of all the voice-coaching videos on Youtube, these are the most organized, focused, and challenging. More than just exercises, when these lessons are mastered, you will have a solid foundation in voice control. Not easy, but worthwhile is...

  • @WA9KZY Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciated it. Ian

  • ;D i love closing my eyes. it makes such an impact.

  • i forever can never do vibrato. sigh

  • See for the vocal range exercise, Is it wrong if i cant go that fast?.. And is it possible to develop that freedom of range?

  • i found myself being able to sing vibrato regularly. However, I can't seem to apply it in a song in a way to make it "sound good". What do I do?

  • @hotznizzle I find that many singers over-do vibrato. Depending on the style of singing something you can try is limiting vibrato to longer notes, or at the end of phrases. I will be sure to record a video on how to apply vibrato in different styles.

  • i've developed a slight vibrato, bt i am unable to control which notes it is used on. Like it cums and goes on its own. Wat can i do?

  • @coog2011 What you should do is make a mental note of what is happening in your body, eg, throat, stomach, how much air you are using when it occurs. Then try and replicate it for the notes you want to add vibrato to.

  • @coog2011 No offense, but your spelling sometimes speaks about the pages you surf...

  • wow! this is great! thanks a lot!

  • @vivile189 Glad you like it!

  • I notice that I can achieve vibrato when I hit cetain vowels, but not all of them.WHy is that? It seems to "come on it's own" sometimes unexpectedly when Im xocalizing, but then when I "try to do it" on purpose, I lose it! LOL! arrrgggghhh! Why is that?? Other times, I am able to achieve it by fluctuating my tone alone.

  • This is hugely helpful and effective lesson, especially when followed up with the Riffs & Runs one. Thanks, AussieVocalCoach!

  • @marywardify Isnt the riffs and runs vid great?? I have improved SOOOO much since doing it!

  • Great exercises thanks you!! really helpful

  • @guy23232007 You're Welcome.

  • u funny

  • @for0you0my0queen In a good way or a bad way?? LOL

  • Thank AussieVocalCoach for replying!

    Thank you very much! :)

  • Hey im a girl singer and my throat closes when I sing .. I have a great 3rd register sound and my seconds and first is ok but anytime i sing first or second my throat is trying to support what i do .. How do I get enough air to my diaohram???

  • @bla0327 Hey. Have you checked out my video on how to breathe for singing? That will help you out.

  • VERY GOOD VIDEO!!! I see way too many videos on here telling people that they can produce by pulsating their air and other methods... as a musician and private voice instructor it's soo frustrating to see people teaching "fake" vibrato..

  • @torosax Thanks for the positive feedback. Yes there are a few misinformed people teaching less than ideal ways to produce "fake" vibrato. It really isn't something that can be "manufactured".

  • lets say:

if my voice sound so bad and i keep on practicing vocal lessons, does that help to make my voice better at singing ?

  • @deedianah Yes. The more you practice the better you will become.

  • thank you for the video by the way

  • Am I supposed to exhale while holding a note and wait for vibrato (with good breathing technique of course)?

or am I supposed to focus on my vocal cords.

Is it something like sheep bleating but more subtle?

  • @bigsaladin5 Keep it simple. Exhale with good airflow and relaxed throat. It is more subtle than bleating. More like a fast pulse.

  • looooooove it helps sooooooooooooooo much

  • I love the video, but i cant seem to do the quick part of each exercise...am i a bad singer or will that come with practice?

  • I'm not a professional, but I'm sure it just means you need to practice more. I used to have trouble with those parts myself and now I can sing them fine.

  • Yes all it takes is a bit of time and consistent practice. Good luck! :)

  • thank you : )

  • thanks, its helping me loosing up my voice

  • Glad I could help.

  • this is actually VERY HELPFUL! thnx so much =)

  • i have a question.. so is vibrato when u manually control yourself to pulsate between two notes or is vibrato a natural thing that comes out by itself.. please reply... GODBLESS

  • Vibrato is a natural occurance. There are a lot of singers who "manufacture" vibrato through jaw, tongue and abdomen tremors which is not ideal as it involves muscles which should be relaxed.

The purpose of the excercise which moves between two notes rapidly is to maintain flexibility of the cords, a vital aspect of vibrato. The exercise is not meant to imitate vibrato. Thanks for the comment.

  • oh i see. so it's just an exercise, not the actual vibrato. just an exercise to maintain flexibility and not the actual vibrato itself :) thnx

  • Awesome! Man you give away great content!

  • hey thanx 4 this can you make a video about whistle register and warm ups that contribute to it??
