I agree with junkion, it's too easy to criticize other people's actions. And in this case, Nazanin Afshin-Jam spent 7 months of her life to save the life of a young girl, who had been raped. She is somebody who is trying to change things in this world, trying to bring justice, because the girl that she saved could have been stoned to death as well if she had let the men rape her.

i think it's great that she supports human rights -- but what about human rights right in her own backyard in north america? the u.s. has more people in prison than any other country in the world and most of them are casualties of the racism-driven drug war. the fact that she is silent on that front makes her suspect.

I don't think that she is hopelessly confused, and there is no basis for you to label her a monafiq. People must choose to become involved at some level--trying to prevent execution of minors in Iran is a human rights issue, and one of he issues that should be highlighted rather than a bogus nuclear witch hunt.
