  • Ah the Avante. Tamiya's attempt to redeem it's name on the comp scene. Unfortunately the Avante was ahead of it's time but too much of a superstar to be competitive. It would bottom out on jumps, like all Tamiya models, and the complex design was maintenance intense. For all the Avante addicts out there, I will admit as a showroom model, it will attract any warm blooded man like a sexy lady on a Pedestal . That Pedestal will NOT however, be in the winner's circle.

  • Nice Concept, but to many wearing parts and they decide on that quick wheel Release idea. I personally prefer Kyosho I did start with Tamiya been

Grasshopper , Superchamp, Hotshot, Supershot, and many more some i

purchased New and others second hand many years ago, long before online Auction's etc...... My Brother is Still in the RC scene, he Actually works for a RC retailer and has about 60 1/8 1/10 Gas and Electric RC Cars/Buggys

  • Unfortunately it was too complex and overweight compared the the Schumacher Cat XL realeased around the same time.

  • Awesome video. I liked the narrator's detailed description and views of the internal mechanism of the car. Avante also has many incarnations in the 1/32 Scale Mini 4WD model line and they all look superb.

  • @magnumcyclonex
