ginnnga - what on earth are you on. Where did Savage flux come from? A 4s Lipo with a 100,000rpm motor would easily beat a .21 engine. No, i'm not comparing an 1/8th scale on road car with a buggy. Read carefully.

Has anyone converted their 960 or 966 to brushless using the factory conversion kit? If so what cells are you using? I looks as if it only supports LRP saddle packs. I have a Maxamps 5s fitted to my Losi 8ight buggy and it is 5 times faster than nitro buggys. Bye bye nitros!!!

What is the easiest 1/8 car to convert to brushless these days? I've been out of the loop since '06. Browsing the RC Tech boards lately.

I've owned a Serpent Impulse, HPI R40, MTX3, and RRR WCE. The Serpent and Mugen had much better plastic/nylon composite. I'd really like to convert to eighth scale electric.

That thing is insane. I'm in the process of converting back to electric because brushless and lipo. Another benefit is that it's much cleaner, less grime, basically only tuning the suspension. There's nothing like spending $1000 on a vehicle and have it trashed with grime after a 15 minute heat. Plus, I don't care what anyone says...whatever side the exhaust exits - that rear tire is compromised (could get squirelly). Look at the dirt built up on the rim...

engines are a pain in the ass. I used to run my MRX4x a lot but its a waste of money to run and th mess the fuel makes is just a pain. Something like this is far more interesting.

nitro is dead in rc, they are too slow in all aspects compared to brushless power, people who still use nitro need to have a good look at themselves, i got 3 nitros ans 6 brushless rc cars, and i wont be using my nitros again, im selling all three of them. traxxas 3.3 revo hpi savage 5.9 and gv dominator 2.7. all for sale.

It's not in fast forward. There is however 2 glitches in the clip where it's like the footage drops a frame or 2. I'm not sure why it has done this but I swear I haven't doctored any of the footage.

For all the haters look for 2 things.

1. Listen to us talking on the drivers stand.. Do we sound like chipmonks???

2. Watch the guys walking in the back ground are they on track for Olympic walking gold??? I think not!!! lol

It is very fast, but your video does "skip" every now and then. If you don't see that, then you're most certainly blind. That is the reason people are saying your video is "fast forwarded".

Thanks mate!! I can see why people think it's fast forwarded but truth is that is how fast it is. I'm doing some more mods to the car over the next month or so and will get some more footage to try and dispell some of these non-believers.

i ran my fk05 with a 4.5 nosram setup with top cells and mine zipps too. they do have that much power, electric is fantasic. i love messing with the throttle profile and such. i can well imagine a chassis like that would run that fast and handle that well. the day will come when 1.8th electric class is big in numbers i believe.
