@zmily22002 actually most religions are still expanding, however atheism is the fasters growing in terms of % ratio. Islams has a considerbly smaller ratio but numerically it has more (due to sheer numbers of followers now). However this doesn't mean it is expanding (if you do statistics you would know what I mean). Over a given time the higher ratio % expansion does catch up.
I think that this aggressive reaction towards the cartoons is easier to understand if you keep in mind that religions are not only wannabe-philosophies, they are first and foremost the greatest money making machines ever created. So if someone laughs about "Mohammad" they're also questioning the money generating machine called "Islam" (same goes for "Jesus" and "Christianity"). @zmily22002 actually most religions are still expanding, however atheism is the fasters growing in terms of % ratio. Islams has a considerbly smaller ratio but numerically it has more (due to sheer numbers of followers now). However this doesn't mean it is expanding (if you do statistics you would know what I mean). Over a given time the higher ratio % expansion does catch up.
