@jaqua524 Like what Tim Armstrong said, "Who am I to tell if this kid is punk or not?" I believe that Blink182 and Sum 41 are punk. They're just so commercialized and is part of the mainstream. But that doesn't mean that they're not punks. I thought being punk is doing whatever the hell you wanna do. If you're going to set rules, say, punks should be like this and that, then that's not being punk at all. That's just my opinion. :]
I can never decide whether this riff reminds me of a buzzsaw slicing you in half or a hammer repeatedly slamming you in the head... somehow, you love it either way. Fuckin awesome.

@ALLNAMESAREALLREADYT So, being a teenager and, unlike other teenagers, liking albums unanimously rated maximum scores by critics makes us monkeys? Whatever you say...
on every good rock song video on youtube you MUST have at least 3 types of idiots:
a) idiots saying "X retards missed the like button"
b)idiots that say "rap is shit, rock is good, i love 70s band"
c)infantile idiots that say "i'm only 14-18 y/o and i love rock music. See how awesome i am, unlike my generation"
For the monkeys that keep posting stuff like that: breaking news, you're NOT special, you're saying nothing new. You're just some idiot repeating the same shit over and over again
the clash are not that bad so you need to talk about jonas brothers or justin bieber on this video,or any. so just, enjoy the song, a let that shits away
The river flowing through the bridge at 1'52" & 2'52" really captures something about London, typical of these guys ability to put their finger on the pulse of humanity
I was flying into Heathrow last year and just as the plane turned to land 'London Calling' starting playing on my iPod! Completely random! Amazing moment!
i would like to thank the Clash's sound man the night they played at the Montreal Forum sometime in the mid eighties. he brought me and some friends to meet the band. great bunch of guys, today i am 42, house, wife, kids, dog, cat i still listen!
I've been to London several times its definitely one of my favorite cities! Man if you think about what this city has been through during its history....
I was a child when The Clash, i get older and when listened again, love it. The today musicians need to remember those days and make good music again.
Does really anybody compare Jonas Brothers and The Clash! They are so different, firstly as Yarda69 said, Jonas Brothers are crap. Every song has this moral: I Love you til i die or something like that. London Calling is one best songs ever made, and they refer to Three Mile Island incident in "a nuclear error", I love it!

@TheKontosuburbian No, It's Joe Strummer singing, Paul Simonon only sang 3 of their songs, The Guns Of Brixton, The Crooked Beat and Red Angel Dragnet.

The Clash defined a whole generation, the Pistols were wankers, Siouxsie was amateur, (she did get better, but it took almost a decade). Damned were OK, Polly had the killer voice & sham69 were sodding fantastically loud, Buzzcocks were getting there, but playing Billy (GenX) got knickers off birds faster than my mate Jim.
All that said, the Clash were/are head and shoulders above. My particular favourite (apart from SISOSIG or London Calling) is Bankrobber.
