Of course it hurt, they used those godawful guns. Those things should be banned. They work by blunt force trauma(basically RIP a hole through the ear) & everytime they're used, a micro-mist of bodily fluids sprays all over them. Gross. All piercings should be done with single-use needles. I had probably 20 gunned ear piercings during my teens(I'm hardcore! lol) & I had more infections than I can even count.
