its hilarious to think this movie portays the world as having flying cars by 2015. We're not any closer to having flying cars now than we were in the 80s. I agree with "gothatway09" realistically theres only been improvements in technology nothing extordinary. Considering the danger and expense flying cars would create if they are ever used noone alive right now will see them.

Now this is editing! I edit professionally and a lot of the promotional stuff I see come out is too FX heavy and it doesn't really sell the product all that well. However, whoever cut this I tip my hat off to them. Not only was the editing outstanding along with the sound work, but it really does sell the BTTF trilogy well. This made me want to break out my BTTF Blu-Ray set and start watching ASAP..LOL

The first one is essentially a teen rebel movie.

The second is *the* Sci-Fi film, (dropping in and out of time, and even going to the future.)

And the third, obviously, has all the correct elements of a Western.

This trailer does a surprisingly good job of distinguishing them in a way that shows just *how* different they are.

My favorite movie series are Alien, RoboCop, Jurassic Park, Die Hard, Rambo, James Bond, X-Men, Rocky, Lethal Weapon, Spider-man, Batman, Mad Max, Indiana Jones, House, Evil Dead... BUT each of these franchises has at least one weak part while all 3 Back to the Future movies are brilliantly done. I adore this trilogy - pure masterpiece of cinematography!!!

I think this is one movie where a remake would be preferable to a new sequel. The inaccurate 2015 kills chances of a sequel anyway. The original has such a timeless, universal story that it should be remade for each generation, maybe every 30 years. Let's face it, how relevant will the differences between 1955 and 1985 be to future generations? It would be like us comparing 1885 and 1915 now. A remake showcasing the cultural differences between 1985 and 2015 instead could be fun for all ages.

@jedijones While there obviously have been a lot of technological advances from 1985 to 2010 and probably more in 2015, there isn't the same level of cultural differences as there from 1955 to 1985. Some minor political correctness changes and gays in the military (so far from 1985 to 2010) can't compare to desegregation, womens rights, general civil rights, Vietnam-Watergate, up to the Reagan era which was a VAST difference b/w the 50s and 80s.

Bigger and better TVs, smaller cell phones, faster and smaller PCs, an ipod insted of a walkman, more advanced Nikes....nothing really new, just improvement over existing 80s tech.

Marty in the sequels since he never acted like that in the first one. Oh well...he did change the timeline...guess he became the Marty that would've lived in the new one.

I love the Back to the Future films, especially the first two.

In my hometown, there is a museum that displays old cars, and one of the cars they exhibit is a DeLorean.

Now that I think about it, it's a real shame that DeLorean Motor Company went out of business in 1982. If they'd have been able to stay in business for a couple more years, the films could've brought it much-needed customers.

If they were to remake it, the only way to do it is to have the scientist be inspired by Back to the Future to make a time machine and have the kid go back to 1985 and accidentally prevent the scientist from seeing the movie because of maybe a sold out showing or an injury
