I tried to read each of the first three books, I really did, because I was uncomfortable with disliking Twilight without actually reading the books. But in all three cases I just couldn't make it past the first 5-6 pages without either laughing or rolling my eyes, and I'm proud to say I didn't buy any of them.

People have the right to their opinion. I don't come close to tears when I hear about how many crazed Twilight fans there are. And I read 3/4 of the first book before I had to put it down for the sake of my remaining IQ points. I watched the movie with a girl. And I went into the movie theater with no hate of the movie. Actually I was a little pumped since she was. But all these special powers (all of them) came up. I just went "what the fuck" everytime. Their vampires, not the justice league! And I just didnt have much feeling for any of the characters, its not like they were properly intro anyway. Just for the record, I am a guy, and I have read Twilight. I have also read New Moon, and I have also read Eclipse. The answer is yes. They are terrible books. Most of the characters have one-faceted personalities. On top of that Meyer fails to keep the story engaging. A book in which nothing really happens for 300 pages is poorly planned. And yes, it is possible to have a romance where the story is engaging and things actually happen. Examples include: Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, etc.
Not everyone has to LOVE twilight . I watched the movie with a girl. And I went into the movie theater with no hate of the movie. Actually I was a little pumped since she was. But all these special powers (all of them) came up. I just went "what the fuck" everytime. Their vampires, not the justice league! And I just didnt have much feeling for any of the characters, its not like they were properly intro anyway. I'm a girl, I've read the series, and I am officially knocking it. It's completely and utterly atrocious. There are numerous grammar and spelling mistakes, Edward is a creepy stalker who watches Bella sleep. This is not romantic, it's creepy.

Just for the record, I am a guy, and I have read Twilight. I have also read New Moon, and I have also read Eclipse. The answer is yes. They are terrible books. Most of the characters have one-faceted personalities. On top of that Meyer fails to keep the story engaging. A book in which nothing really happens for 300 pages is poorly planned. And yes, it is possible to have a romance where the story is engaging and things actually happen. Examples include: Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, etc.

I've seen the site you're referring to and it doesn't encourage people to harass people who like twilight or anything. Maybe you should go back to the site and actually read some of the threads. They're not out to hurt anyone.

I'm a member of Twilight Sucks. Are you saying that I'm a guy that's never read the books? Because I'm female and I've read all of them. And I know that a majority of Twilight Sucks is female. And I know that barely anyone on there has not read any of the books.

I have read all 4 books of the Twilight series and have found little merit in any of them. I've been to TwilightSucks and agree with many of the points. Surprised she didn't bring up the whole pedophilia thing considering how close she was to tears. The whole imprinting on children thing, it's not romantic. It's sick. Also even Edward and Bella's relationship is sick. He's a hundred years old. If a thirty year old looked 17 would people be okay with him fucking a teenage girl?
