Kinda wishing they showed the whole solo rather than Ozzy waving his hair. Gotta agree the tempo feels way too slow, but Randy is still amazing to watch.
"Prince of darkness",shmince of darkness',it's a selling point, and an act.not the point.never bought into that devil worship crap Sabbath put on.or Ozzythe real point is:Osbourne simply has one of the finest(still does!)Rock Voices around.always has.whomever says Ozzy can't sing, well, stick 2 coldplay u little fuckin' faggots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ghostzapper2006 ozzy wrote some pretty cool shit buddy, not to mention at these times his mind was somewhere else(and still kinda is), hes also dislexic wich kinda makes it harder for him
what i dont get is why randy rhoads, a guy who wanted nothing to do with drugs who just wanted to have a good time and play guitar, had to die. yet, people like nikki sixx, a fucking drug addict, is still alive....randy rhoads didn't deserve that death, it wasn't even his fault....
how bad ass would it be to be the bass player or the drummer in this band!!!?!?!? you have an all time great like ozzy singing and plus you are in a band with FUCKING RANDY RHOADS! !!!!!!!
stfu about beaver he has no musical talent hes the 4th hanson brother rock on ozzy and rudy tommy and most of all randy rhoads you were the best guitar player i ever heard
Watching "Ozzy Osbourne: 30 Years After The Blizzard" on VH1. Fucking awesome how they're focusing so much on Randy and his playing. Listening to the studio tapes, hearing Randy play on after the song ends, Ozzy looks like he's about to cry because he misses Randy.
look at these tragedies, randy rhoades, cliff burton, stevie ray vaughan, frank zappa, kurt cobain, jerry garcia, bradley nowell, dimebag darrell, michal jackson, think about how much better american music would be, we wouldn't even be thinking of justin bieber
@EchoCannon89 fuck cobain. most of those other people, ESPECIALLY dimebag, died horribly and needlessly. cobain was a whiny fuck "wah, my stomach hurts! wah, i don't want to be famous! wah, all this pressure!!!" FUCK COBAIN!!
The whole band is just so tight, this should be a total aspiration for any group of people playing music together to be as tight as this band is...The music breathes, but is so technically precise. Key words technique and precise!! There is so much finesse and feel in Randy's playing, and the rhythm section rumbles so big beneath him, but everything is right there, right with each other. This is key!!
man randy so awsome that he was so ahead and doid all this in his short life that trurley amazing i mean he was doing it in 78 this awsome great he was no doubt
Jake's style was so shitty compared to Randy's and Zak's. We all know of course Randy is the greatest guitarist to ever live. RIP. He sold his soul to his guitar.
@georgeygeorgey1 He was good I guess, but there are so many "good" guitar players. I know many people that would have been a better addition to the band than Jake.
randy rhoads will always be loved by me and by buckethead billy gibbons synyster henry garza monte montgomery tom wolk john5 shawn lane paul gilbert danny lohner robert smith dave murrey dave mustaine and porl thompson
the thing that always amazed me at ozzy's band, is that the he, the song and the guitarist are the main event of the show. the bassist and the drummer are following them.
A cream Les with a boa skin strap? A polka dot V with bow-tie inlays? It just can't possibly get cooler looking than that. The second ending solo is after Little Wing, the most beautiful thing I've ever heard come out of such a magnificent instrument of destruction.
@joser469 yea right stop dissing zakk dick hes a randy fan to incase you didnt know yea hes not as good as randy and he knows that but hes way better than jake zakk never copied randy and jake did listen to the riff on the song lighting strikes on the ultmate sin album just a shitty copy of crazy train fuck jake e lee hes nowhere near zakks level and hes disrespectfull to randy and zakks fav guitarist is randy hed never show the kinda disrespect that jake did and if jake is better wheres he now
@PurpleSnowFox Bus Driver? Why him? He died in a plane crash o.O Unless he's also the one who piloted it...Unless you got the death confused with Cliff Burton's
@camjf13579 yeah i know about his band quiet riot and am ashamed that as a big fan of rr i have not already got some of their stuff. i once read an article by george lynch that when randy was in qr he was good but not amazing then come the ozzy gig and everyone that knew him on the circuit was like what the f**k. thanks for the info mind. rock on fella.
Not to mention if you have heard the live stuff from the Tribute album , His playing on that album is absolutely mindblowing. And listening him rip out on the black sabbath classics live is just incredible. His Solo on children of the grave puts Tony Iommi to shame. That album leaves no doubt that he truly was the BEST.
Randy was the best. And never had an ego, Yeah there are other greats you can compare him to but he was more than a great guitarist, A truly talented individual who as great as he was Still strived to get better and loved teaching as well. He was incredible as a person and not an egomaniac like some other Guitarists that he is compared to.
@XxHoosierXHoosierxX not really randy was one of the best guitarists in the world he was one of the few people who mixed technical and musical perfection with hard rock

I wish Ozzy would watch this so he could see how far he has strayed with that Gus G guy.Randy was an innovator on the instrument, Ozzy sounds like his own cover band now days.
do u realize that, (i´m sorry for writting in spanish, but english is not my native tongue,) sin Randy, nunca hubieras sido el señor de las tinieblas?, el realmente fué quien te lanzó al estrellato, junto con tu esposa, Sharon,..... we luv u ozzy, but they had always,to be on your succesful, so HAIL SHARON And (OF COURSE) RHANDY!!!! CHEEERRSSSS FROM A LITTLE TOWN OF MEXICO, NAMED Córdoba, by the way , i´m Max. good luck!!!!!
@Hoota5150 There certainly were guys at that level. The names that come to mind immediately are Gary Moore, George Lynch, John Sykes, and Michael Schenker.
@Iconlie i was twelve when he died and at the age when you really start to appreciate music properly. there are many great players out there but to me randy will always be the best. two albums and a live one? what other stuff would he have done? still as gutted now as i was way back then.
Damn Randy, why did you have be SO FUCKING GOOD!?!?!? Made God call your ass back when he heard this, lol! Shucks, him and Ozzy could've wound up ruling the '80s together (and maybe beyond, ftm)...
I just wrote a song inspired by Black Star and Far Beyond the Sun in tribute to Randy and his influence on me. Check it out it's called Neo-Classical Shred "Danger"

I think if Randy lived he would have helped Eddie keep playing for the competition.
Because no other was at his level except Randy ?

@Hoota5150 There certainly were guys at that level. The names that come to mind immediately are Gary Moore, George Lynch, John Sykes, and Michael Schenker.

@Iconlie i was twelve when he died and at the age when you really start to appreciate music properly. there are many great players out there but to me randy will always be the best. two albums and a live one? what other stuff would he have done? still as gutted now as i was way back then.

I just wrote a song inspired by Black Star and Far Beyond the Sun in tribute to Randy and his influence on me. Check it out it's called Neo-Classical Shred "Danger"
