I prefer Airbus over Boeing. Airbus cockpits are straight to the point with a simplistic layout, yes they might not be as pretty as Boeing cockpits, but I see it like this, If you've got a pickup truck that just hauls ass all day, you want it to be strong and tough, not pretty.
@aaronrodgers77 It actually means to retard (lower / disengage) the engine thrust to idle... it has nothing to do with the attitude or pitch of the aircraft. @NumanFsl It's the ground proximity warning computer / system instructing the pilots to put the engine thrust to idle.
@airlineman2201 yes; actually the first officer can land the aircraft. It all depends on the captain decision as he has the power to allocate what role the crew partakes in throughout the flight
@ChatrboxCB The Captain and First Officer do the exact same job. They switch roles as "pilot monitoring" and "pilot flying" every other sector, meaning half of the time the First Officer will complete the whole flight flying the aircraft while the Captain does the radio, checklists, and assists the FO in doing his job.
@airlineman2201 itz not a matter of allowance itz just that they dnt have a tiller on there side of the cockpit.. in other wordz they dnt have the utilities used to taxi the aircraft so they cant unless they are in the captains seat..
Nice vid, surprised also to see one engine shut down after landing, but ATR's do it all the time when in Hotel mode.
If you want to see the best Airbus cockpit landings and take off's look for "dnhug" on youtube, he is cabin crew for Swiss airlines and has awesome footage.
another great vid

For the answer at the "retard" call, it's the aircraft , retard significates to put the throttles at IDLE

@boostedscim Yes indeed, full HD 1080i as I 'm about to buy a proper camcorder.
However, I'm afraid most videos won't be on the Airbus but on the Boeing 737NG for now on ...

@DOMIN8RRR Saves costs and saves engine's life. That's the modern commercial aviation industry.

Pourquoi il fait des corrections au manche alors qu'il est sur le glide et le loc de la 06 ???? Normalement, sur l'ILS, tout est automatique ?
