The fortune 500 companies are running the high version of SAP that is far from simple and costs millions to implement and maintain. I know my entertainment companies that run it complain all the time of the high maintenance costs. So lets compare apples to apples as you say. FRX is the financial reporting tool and SQL Reports is the free Enterprise reporting tool for GP. Crystal Enterprise costs thousands. Lets be fair here. It is better but very expensive and SQL exports much better to Excel.
There are inaccuracies in this video or lets say exclusions. You say a number of times that you need an add on to get this feature. These are just different module besides the basic or advanced version that are turned on when you install and purchase them with GP. CRM is a stand alone product that can be used with out GP or fully integrated with GP. Customers in GP are in CRM, Items in GP are in CRM. You can see history from GP in CRM. 80% of fortune 500 companies are not running business one.
Here's the misleading part... in slide 2 you are comapring two products then in slide 3 talk about who is using SAP. The companies you show using SAP DO NOT use Business One. They are using a totally different product called R/3. R/3 and Business One are so different - not only as products but how SAP supports and treats them - that one shouldn't project the industry's adoption of one as being a reason to use the other.
@linkyx001 OrchestraTeam is an SAP Partner that sells, implements and supports SAP Business One.
The video above is for SAP Business One, SAP's solution for small and midsized companies. This product is priced for SMEs, with total packages starting at $4,995 for software, services, and training.
The SAP solution you are referring to is probably SAP Business Suite or All-in-One, which are designed for much larger companies than SAP Business One is designed for.
@linkyx001 We are a US based SAP Partner, so we do not sell or implement the solution in Mexico. However, there are many SAP Partners that work with SAP Business One in Mexico.
Please contact SAP through their website, and a partner in your region will respond and can answer your questions.
1. True, SAP offers the B1 solution to SMEs, while R/3 is for the Fortune 500.
2. XLR is not discontinued, but will be replaced by Crystal Reports, the de facto standard in reporting, because SAP now owns Crystal Reports.
3. SAP B1 is SOX compliant without an Add-On
Your last two points have nothing to do with our video, but simply promote features in MS. Can you point out any actual inaccuracies in our video, as you first implied?
@antzkool point out what is innacurate in the video and/or misleading and we will be happy to update the video.
When you say "...SAP is TERRIBLE..." are you referring to SAP Business One, or the entire company in general? That's kind of like sying Microsoft is terrible, when they create dozens of products, some of which are great and others, like Dynamics GP, are not.
If you can provide some speficis and some reference to your points, we'd be happy to update our content.
@ddervil What information in the video is inaccurate? If you provide specifics and source your data that we can verify, we'd be happy to update the video.
We're try to be as accurate as possible on these comparison videos and are basing them off the most recent and verifiable information we can find.
