  • Dean, do raw eggs boost your immune system?

  • Where did you get your facts? nr. 1 is a myth. I can't find any evidence supporting nr. 6

  • @Bionuker #1 is true its just the one is not capleble of retreaving it, thats why you go get hipnetised so you can remember something you are in denile of.

    #6 try it at home and well see if you can drink a bag of surger and a bag of salt mixed with water {1cup}

  • You remind me of James Mcavoy.

  • @cypher3103 There is PLENTY of salt in Coke.

  • there is no salt in coke

  • Great... Now I have to search through every single comment to find @hoenoty's comment.

  • @xiSondre Great... Now I have to tell you that your comment is an overused comment, and that all you have to do is go to see all comments, press Ctrl F then type in his name and scroll down the page till you find his comment. >___>

  • I used fact number 3 on my mom one day....she admitted I had a good point but I had to go to school if I got sick....did I mention shes a nurse

  • And wait a bloody second, are you telling me the "emergen-c" that I drink will not help my immune system out when I am sick?

  • Whats the significance of all this left brain/ right brain stuff I keep hearing about? If you focus more on training your right brain does that make you more creative or artistic and more mathematical and what not if you use your left brain?

  • where I live its like -30 in winter, do you consider thisextreme enough to get sick ?

  • In fact shaking somebody's hand : I heard : Fat chick in somebodie's hand (you must have fucking big hands lulz)

  • I Like the health fact more than the facts most people dont know. Dr.Leysen ftw

  • they are afraid of things on their right side, but the earth is a sphere.. doesn't that mean they are afraid of everything?

  • damn that right SIDE !!!!!!

  • @gr3g1995 its true what dean is saying... We have access to 3% of our brain... The information stores is there but only that we don't have access to it... Only our back if our mind has... That's why we dream a lot of wierd stuff... But that is what you have seen seen before...

  • @magicman198765432 What exactly is 'access'...

  • @lorizoli What I mean by access is consciousness access to the information. Some things that you might have seen before but you don't remember when. Like, how to you know when someone nods their head, that it means yes, and the opposite no. No one actually told you this. You might have learned this unconsciously, because your consciousness can control around 3% of all your hidden potential that was there in your ans-esters. On of our biggest potential as humans is language.

  • @magicman198765432 No, Dean said that the brain CAN store everything, and it CAN. However, it doesn't store the unimportant stuff, along with many other things. What he meant is that until now, unlike a hard drive, we have not found a set limit for how much the brain can store, rather than what we remember that is more recent interferes with remembering what is older. Also that myth that says we only have access to a % of our brain has been proven untrue many times. We use it all, just at once

  • @PutNameHere15 Just not all at once* (different parts for different situations)

  • water can make me less tired? Where is my bottle

  • its hard to sum all that up in 500 characters xD

  • the human memory doesn't store all the information coming into it, most of it is totally irrelevant e.g the colour of the shoelaces of the person you are talking to, this goes into the short term sensory store which only lasts less than 1 second, more relevant information moves into the short term memory which lasts about 30 seconds to a minute, the information that could be useful in another situation then moves into the long term memory which can be life long. still a good video though man :)

  • @gr3g1995 I think Dean was saying that the brain CAN store everything, not that it DOES store everything. I think he was referring to the capacity of the brain - that the brain has the potential to store that much information without your head exploding.

  • At least four of those are incorrect or inexact.

  • are there any real immune boosting products?

  • Wow! 7000 Million bacteria in my mouth!? I think I need a few teeth brushings!

  • I never go to the Doctor, but as of 3 months ago or so, I had a severe case of crap that got into my tonsil on my left side. It was the worst pain I have ever had. Couldn't talk, couldn't spit, couldn't eat, could barely move my neck. I had to go to the doctor, throat was swelling shut, used my nose to breath. Strep tests failed twice, but he was convinced of strep. He prescribed me a Penicillin type tab, & strep is viral, shouldn't that not work? 2 month battle, pill helped, & then it wouldn't.

  • @BURLYMACHINE -- Streptococci(aka "Strep")*is* a bacterial infection. Penicillin is effective against multiple types of bacteria, *however* many bacteria react to it negatively. For example, as the infection is evolving, you could develop: seizures, diarrhea, vomiting, erythema, etc. This is often due to the bacteria building up a tolerance(of sorts), thus causing the Penicillin to fail. Mind you, I'm not a medical professional. I hope that helps!

  • Uhm, I react to every sudden movement when they occur on my right side, but only react to a few that occur on my left side, do I suffer from dextrophobia? o.O

  • @Zebraskinke -- Dextro(loosely) means "to the right", and Phobia means "fear of/to fear". So...unless you are frightened by the things, on your right, you don't have it. You may have an issue with your sight.

  • Hey, Dean. Great vid as always. I have a question! How accurate is the film "Limitless"?

  • @SwardteE its too accurate.

  • @SwardteE the whole idea for the film is flawed because they say it increases your brain activity from 10% to 80%( or some number like that) but its only a myth that your brain uses 10% of its activity, all parts of your brain are always active

  • Hitler was on the right site. oh the irony

  • I have a phobia of not subscribing to this channel

  • how did our ancestors discovered sexual intercourse ??

  • @genemercado1017 I was gonna call you a dumbass for asking that but thats actually a good question

  • Comment removed

  • I'm sorry for this question Dean, but I heard you (oGFurious!) and Athenewins used to do a lot of stuff together - 'Why' aren't you doing vlogs together anymore (if you did that before)?

I like both the oGFurious and the DeanLeysen vlogs, keep em up! Greets from West-Vlaanderen / Gent :-)

  • Explain how a Darwinian worldview makes sense if the theory itself is undermined by it's own claims: if everything is naturally occurring, or the product of random chance and forces, then all human thoughts, feelings, and ideas can be reduced as mere delusions, meaning none of our sciences or theories can be true.

  • @nessx007 you totally dont understand what you are talking about

  • @nessx007 That doesn't make sense

  • @PreparationH Exactly, so there has to be such thing as objective truth, right? And thats for the idea of "sense" even to exist as you're thinking of it now. The human race, in all it's complexity and achievement, can not be fully explained in a Darwinian sense, there are too many contradictions for that worldview to apply to every area of life. Just look around you.

  • @nessx007 I just don't see how if everything is naturally occurring than science can't be true because humain ideas are mere delusions. You're pretty much saying that everyone is delusional including yourself and your argument.

  • @PreparationH I'm only speaking of what the Darwinian worldview presents to people, and that is the reason I don't believe it myself. You're right, I would be delusional too if I did, yet there are so many people that blindly accept it. There's real Truth out there and science only holds half the answers.

  • BRING BACK THE "BOOYAH"!!

  • about the bacteria: there are more Bacteria cells in your body than human cells. they are almost always in your intestines if they would be in your blood you would be sick.

and for healthy people there are no bacteria in your urine, unless you have some infection.

  • you sexcy slut!

  • I'm going to try that drinking water thing, never really did. A gangsta ain't no real gangsta without his water!

  • You're so fun to watch :)

  • if you plug your nose while eating, you cannot taste what you're eating.. lil fact i just found out.

  • i actually saw that blindness syndrome thing on an episode of HOUSE once. totally cool. another awsome video Dean. THANKS!

  • What if you had ambidextrophobia?

  • When people are left handed, are they scared of everything on their left?

  • Could you tell us why the Coke is drinkable but a glass of water with as much sugar and salt wouldn't be? That seems strange, at least without some science behind it.

  • @Salvlol

other substances with coke make you not taste the sugar

  • @Salvlol it depends on what solvent the sugar and salt is dissolved in. different liquids can dissolve higher amounts of salt/sugar :)

  • @Salvlol I think he might be implying that it's undrinkable because of the taste, if that is what he meant then I think it's because of the different additives in coke, it cancels out the taste of sugar and Salt.. I'm not sure though :/

  • @oiFuRyo I think that's true either way, I mean, it's probably not impossible to drink it (some eccentric person probably could/would) but the taste makes it difficult for most to do so. I just think there's more to it than that. As in, your body would reject it outright or it would make you very ill if you forced it down your throat.

  • @Salvlol CO2 basically.

  • @Salvlol Its the carbination. It increases the solubility, which allows the fluid to hold more sugar and salt.

  • @Salvlol Maybe because its a fact .... ?

  • @FuryC0oly What? How do we know it's a fact unless there is evidence and an explanation? Luckily some people have already answered this in the comments.

  • @Salvlol A glass of water with as much salt and sugar is drinkable.

  • @Salvlol I'm just kidding.

  • @Salvlol Coke has ACid in it, The acid counters the sugar , Water cant....

  • @Salvlol Maybe the water would taste disgusting.

  • @Salvlol do you know those powder drinks? like coolade? put as much powder as you put water and see if you can drink it.

  • @Salvlol He explained it in a comment on the video. Dean said that there are some chemicals in the Coke that will block out some of the taste of the sugar.

  • OG furious needs to upload more vids dean@

  • I HATE things on my right side, mostly because I have a huge blind spot in my right eye....

  • AHhh after hearing that soda fact im officaially done with em!

  • Dean, dont take me bad but you rock, you are what youtube should be. funny, entertaining, educational, quick with no nonsense around. man you deserve Ray Wills subs all the way. the thing is we are living in society of dumb. but am happy i got to know you through your Furious past. btw: whatsup with Athene and you? i always wanted to be like you, to have time to read time to develop myself in these ways, but i was either too lazy or a job was in my way :(

  • Why does cutting your nails some ways give you ingrown finger/toenails?

  • @origamishishou because ur doing it wrong, simple as that

  • @bounceeer i know that but why does it start growing all funky like into your skin.

  • Comment removed

  • @bounceeer makes sense. thank you.

  • More facts videos!

  • I love you Dean! :)

  • I think you should talk about Lucid Dreaming. It relates to your first point.

  • I admire your intelligence, how are you so gangster and smart? Multiple Personality Disorder (I know that's actually not it's real name)?

  • then why cant we remember everything?

  • Explain personality types and personality tests. Are personality tests accurate? Is our personality changing all the time or isit fixed?

  • @fishnladders I'll probably answer that one in a Q&A vlog soon! :)

  • @DeanLeysen Try out MBTI

  • @DeanLeysen How are bulls so strong if they only eat grass? Same with cows and stuff...

  • Its funny I would be watching this video while sick :P Take anti-biotics right now, ugh.. being sick bytes :P

Speaking of medicine from doctors. I was taking a medicine from a doctor for some time, I always felt like I was gonna have a heart attack so I cut the dosage in half on my own. I go in for a check up, they inform me they recalled the drug months ago, because people where having heart attacks! Thanks for not calling me/letting me know! Last time I saw that doctor!

    - Kismet

  • @RingOfDestiny lol damn thats fucked up.

  • my aunt has that disorder where she hates things on her left side.

It's mostly just people so she always walks on one side when walking in a group. Ive never noticed it any more then that

  • Since you are/were a gamer, can you explain why people get hungrier and eat more when they play gaimz?

  • @jgq85 because that is not true, real gamers are more likely to be really skinny because they forget the eat and play non-stop, also being stressed playing a game makes you sweat. If you become playing gaimz it's actually because you eat while playing and you dont realize you have enough.

  • most asked question in the world- WHERE DO BABIES COME FROM!!!???

  • The cold does make you sick, indirectly through weakening your immune system , so you're more prone to many illnesses.

  • @ti3nt That's not the only cause why cold makes you sick. Human behavior patterns in cold weather makes us prefer clumping together indoors which helps spread viral infections. Also, "At winter temperatures, the virus’s outer covering, or envelope, hardens to a rubbery gel that could shield the virus as it passes from person to person".

  • @mariusbigb

We don't get sick because people stay inside during the winter time to spread viruses, it's because of the lack of sunlight, i.e. lack of vitamin D, in our blood. Given sufficient vitamin D, your chances of getting sick are much lower and a lot of diseases have been shown to be related exactly to that.

  • @AlanYugi9689 If it's colder, people tend to stay in doors more often. And that puts us in closer contact with more people. This means pathogens get a better opportunity to spread. I'm sorry but the scientific consensus admits this point is valid and a factor contributing to the rise of viral spread during the winter. Although the vitamin D might also be a cause among many others.

  • @mariusbigb

Google Vitamin D, you'll see what I mean. It's possible to get sick from a virus even if you have sufficient vitamin D, but your chances of getting sick are quite low with sufficient vitamin D. Read up on it.

  • YOUR FURIOUS?! WTF.. SERIOUSLY? LOL

  • Make a video about mold and practical advice for keeping it out if food.

  • The one about being blind and thinking you can still see. Is that what is on one episode of the tv show House?

  • REDBULL KILLS Google it

  • I sincerely wished you'd slow the fuck down.

  • Why is it that noises seem to be louder after a certain point into the night?

  • @Christopheerful Cause its quieter outside.

  • @Christopheerful ear fatigue.

  • @quarkshooters700 The ear fatigues, then functions better???? Or is it more sensitive

  • @Christopheerful Well, let's see what I believe are major factors. 1) Your local ambient signal-to-noise ratio during the day is probably lower than during the night, so your ambient perception changes. 2) Sustained diurnal exposure to noise will progressively elicit a higher state of aural irritation, until even smaller noises become unbearably loud. Do your own research on the otology wiki and science sites.

  • @quarkshooters700 It's easier when people with no lives do it for me :)

  • @Christopheerful then those people are your teachers, thank you very much. :D

  • Explain why it hurts to pee after masturbation

  • Comment removed

  • @hoenoty You should see a doctor about that.

  • @hoenoty really? Mybe you have infection or smthing :/

  • @hoenoty

really? it actually feels good for me! lol

  • @hoenoty It doesn't hurt, it's simply difficult to.

  • @hoenoty It only hurts me for like the first second, after that it feels REALLY good. Maybe I'm just weird.

  • @hoenoty Strange... I don't have that problem.

  • @BrownCookieBoy Yes but why do we forget it?

  • I eat Bacon chips and drink Cola

  • Lol iv'e got the thing you said last! I hate it when people sit next to me on my LEFT side. I seriously move to another table because i get so... almost claustrophobic in school when someone sits next to me on the left.

  • Your intelligence scares me sometimes, I just hope you don't have Wikipedia Bookmarked...

  • @YouLiekPiez He probaly do read Wiki on some facts, like all humans he cant know everything.

  • doesnt seliber have some anti bacterial properties? sry for my bad english though :P

  • WHOA!!! i was actually drinking coca-cola while watching this

  • Love these facts videos!

  • more crazy interesting facts plz.

  • @TheJollyroger96

    ca. 10^12 bit

  • Oh well i know i see pretty well. And no Nigga on the video will tell me otherwise!

  • This wasa retarded video.. I don't agree with any of this man

  • An anton babinsky syndrome patient will inevitably show up on House one of these days.

  • @UnusualSuspect2011

    From Wikipedia page "Anton-Babinski syndrome":

Anton–Babinski syndrome was featured in two episodes of the House, M.D. TV series, titled "Euphoria, Part 1" and "Euphoria, Part 2", although it was ascribed to primary amoebic meningoencephalitis, a disease that usually does not cause the syndrome in real life.

  • Do Cheecha have a higher probability of causing cancer to a man than cigarettes, pls answer cause im smoking cheecha

  • Make a video about the benefits of smoking

  • @Pedala94 Unfortunately, it would be a very short video, so it probably wouldn't really be worth making.

  • @Pedala94 None - there.

  • @GhilliedUp Actually there are ...one i recall is it makes you less exposed to getting parkinson or something like that

  • @Pedala94 So if you already know, why ask the question?

  • So in turn, they are afraid of their left side because it is the furthest thing from their right side...around the planet.

  • If time travel was possible, what would it be like?

  • @HandofAdal Like time traveling.

  • ....my right side is very scary.

  • Well if that blind thing is true and im not saying it's not how do you know if you're blind or not maybe everyone else can see and you can't and you're just now imagining reading this comment SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT ??

  • nice videos man, i like ur accent :D subbed :)

  • you forgot to mention that masturbating decreases your chance of getting too high blood pressure

  • Coca cola is worse then nicotine

  • Ye,just as ebaay1 said, why are some people left handed and some are right handed? Please answer

  • Explain why some people are "Left handed" and others "Right handed"

  • @ebaay1 That's simply due to which side of the brain contains what.

  • @fionn32 You mean it's not always the same?

  • @ebaay1 I'm pretty sure nobody has discovered why that is.

  • @ebaay1 Left handed people suffer from a mutation.

  • @ebaay1 people found it felt better to have a wank with their left hand so the human race adapted

  • @ebaay1 Genetics. duuuhhhhhh

  • @ebaay1 @ebaay1 it's just got to do with which hemisphere your brain is more in tune to. It also determines a person's personality, which can be left/right sided.

  • IRicanFx
