  • this was a nice effort but it just doesn't feel quite right. what i think might have been more in keeping with the silent creepieness of this film would be to keep the actors silent and employ the use of a more foreboding music acompanied with ambient background sound effects such as the rats scurrying out of the coffin, the ocean waves against the ship as well as the classic creaking sounds old wooden ships make. thanks for an interesting concept and video.

  • Nice work, although the sound FX do make it sound a little comicla/cartoonish in some places, i.e, the swooshing rope noise.

  • really makes it suspenseful

  • great work!

although i think you should go easy on the rope noise at about 1:00

    sounds too power ranger-ish

  • cool dude.

The demeter´s scene is really creepy.

  • okay maybe i should give a reason...it sounds a little too modern, perhaps if it were a little more washed out like the image itd work

  • Well done.

  • not bad! really helps the effect and gives it a slightly more modern feel.

  • fangtastic

  • lololol XD

  • oh my god did people us2 find this shit scary ?? x

  • Wait, I was going to make espresso.

  • do u see how long they show the captions?? gosh..ppl back then must have been illiterate...OR retarded

  • nosferatu rules!!!

  • that guy with the axe's face was priceless. it was funny when he fell over the side of the ship!!!!!!!!!

  • on my playlist you can listen to the great music written for Nosferatu by Bernard J. Taylor

  • RE MALAKA DEN KATALAVA TIPOTIS

  • If you pause it at 0:32, the guy looks hilarious

  • U r right....he looks totally cross-eyed!!

  • Wow, this is pretty awesome...will you be releasing the entire rescored film once you're finished?

  • I'd jump into the fucking sea too.

  • this guy is with axe is more scary than nosferatu

  • aaah my favorite scene :)

  • Nice video!

Check out my new vampire-epic "Count of evil", hope you`ll like it.

  • Nice job, I really liked that

  • wtf happens!!!!!!!!!!! the guy is steering the boat and the fucking vampire is standing there what is he gonna do jumped off the ship?bite him?fight him?wtf!

  • Wow, I think you did a really good job there. A more modern take on Nosferatu yet it works!

  • the improved sound and music deff. makes it scarier.

This scene always gave me nightmares when i was a kid.

    :[

  • zThis scene scared me.

  • I saw this scene when I was 7 and I was scared to go to sleep.

  • hey, i just wanted to write exactly the same, it's something i've remembered from my childhood, the scene of the vampire on the ship

  • i dont get it how he is scary

have u seen the grudge thats scary

  • i guess you're now able to appreciate scenes like those from the bloody horror films of today's 'ambitious' cinema

  • I know, blood isn't scary, it's gross and it's a cheap special effect that will reap in millions. what's scary is suspense.

  • Wowee! You did an excellent job.

  • this is the best scene in that movie, so you changed the music as well? it seems to fit pretty well. good job

  • this one of my favorite films of all time. i would love to see/here it in it's entirety with this soundtrack. very well done.

  • Wait a sec,is dat doyler???!

  • Scurtulos told a right thing. If you want to talk about cradle of filth, talk about it in another place, but not here...Murnau's film never be involved by this frivolouses things. A thing is a cinematographic masterpiece, another thing are sh**s that there is on tv..

Sorry, but this comment made me angry.

And sorry for my comment, if there is an error, it's only beacause i'm italian and i've got a bad pronunciation..

Have a nice day, bye bye

  • Is awesome! this if it is fear not that the movies of now ;) ( love dani filth) CRADLE OF FILTH!~;)

  • Cradle of filth and americanised goth-culture as far away from my favourite movie as you can, there is no connection what so ever between Nosferatu - ein symfonie des Grauens and CoF.

  • Sounds great.

  • I think you've added excitement and increased tension.

  • One of the things that make this film so creepy is that there are no sound effects. Youve just made it cheesy

  • I know people that love "cheesy" and people that hate it. I assume you mean "cheesy hate"? Well, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.. I agree that the original is creepy without sound effects, but it's also creepy with them. Not sure cheesy really describes what's going on here, but o.k., thanks for the comment. By adding sound, I am taking it out of the silent category and making it something different. It's not meant to be a replacement or a comparison, just an interesting experiment in sound design.

  • I loved it, this was simply fantastic. I never even thought about adding sound effects to movements. I would love to see a full rescore of Nosferatu come out like this.

  • the work you did on the soundtrack and foley looks great. Well done. Is this a project you're undertaking for the whole movie? I'd love to know more. Please keep me updated, you can contact me through my channel.
