When I'm learning this now I watch your video, and Erik Mongrain's video, and hear the MP3 to get the details, but It's difficult, because there are so many small "details" and harmonics and all that...! I just got the tutorial (Yup, it really is as hard as it looks, but that just means it takes more time to get down) and I've started using your vid as a check to make sure I'm reading the tab right. Your accuracy is a big help (Erik has a tendency to improvise, which is awesome, but hard to follow). Keep playing like that, and you'll go places! At bare minimum, you could make a damn good living just busking!

@croco64 Soundhole pickups really help, but you should aim to hit the string at a 45 degree angle with the right side of the tip of your index finger.

@croco64 i am pretty sure that it is a slight "flick" of the wrist and the finger staying steady, plus i see that erik mongrain has long nails on the hand that he strums with so maybe long nails help too, maybe im wrong but i hope that kinda gives a little idea

It is a D'Marzio Soundhole Pickup. It amplifies my acoustic guitar, let's me control the quality of the sound since it is hooked up to a sound module, and it accentuates all the notes (especially harmonics).
