This song was sang by Dooley Wilson and 'Play it again, Sam' is a misquotation, it's never EVER said is this movie. It was said for the first in Marx Brothers' 1946 film 'A night in Casablanca'. Ingrid Bergman said 'Play it once, Sam, for old times' sake' and 'Play it, Sam. Play it As time goes by'. Humphrey Bogart said 'You played it for her you can play it for me' and 'If she can stand it, I can. Play it!'. 'Play it again' is not a quote from Casablanca.
This is one of best romantic movies ever made on the face of the earth. If somebody says it sucks, the only thing he can do to help himself is to go and kill himself.

this movie is nothing else than crap.
A big United State classic I know, but i've seen so many real good movie compared to this.
can anyone tell me why is it so good except for the light effect? don't tell me you like the acting of rick: he sucks and allways making the same face except for that scene where he's drunk at the bar, it's the only time he's kind of acting.
the ending is so predictable there ain't no suspence at all...
it's a period piece, meaning its a classic and reflects on a very troubled time for many people. "Rick" is a hollow, "insides kicked out" shell of a man and Bogey plays it right. You only see him "acting" at the bar because when he gets his drink on he is able to let go and let his true feelings out. That's the way he was supposed to do the part.
esta es mi pelicula preferida, clasificada de las románticas del cine clasico norteamericano. y después Los Puentes de madison con Meryl Streep y Clint Eastwood
I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please view my clip of some rare 1940's movie star cards, including Humphrey Bogart, Judy Garland, Ingrid Bergman, Frank Sinatra, Gregory Peck, Errol Flynn,

The song was sang by Humphrey Bogart, and he said: "Play it again Sam". By the way, I hope the economy gets worse and leads to the election of Obama.
OBAMA in '08!!!!!

Humprey Bogart is the lead actor, he is not the one who sang "as time goes by"
