this is local history just like the buzz club or the 051 or if yas wanna get into to it an1 remember the Harddock????? Scott brown? haha tunes and late nites
I think the best days was when Dave Graham was blasting out the piano tunes and John Cotton was MCing.
It did go down hill towards the end, but hey so did the rest of the country with the shit music that progressed afterwards 91 - 92 was the best era for me.
@freakunit lmaoooo, mate am from birkenhead and that is funny as fuck the cheeky twat comment is from the kind of stereotypical birko u dont wanna bump into
yes unohoncho passed away roughly 2 years ago maybe more . true mate . sad init . top Dj philly . i knoe for certain i'll miss this place and the dj's . and as for the fighting ? it was just like any other club . certainly alot more user friendly people more than there was hot heads anyway .. i LOVED the place and its real clubbers.
No way I am actually in the queue on this vid...ha ha a bit younger and fresh faced than I am now. From what I remember (which is very little nowadays) it was a top night as always :o)
I used to love the drome after the State had lost it's license The state was never the same after when it re-opened, full of little knobs trying to act hard, it came so it wasn't worth going there. The thing with the drome it was more techo so the birds didn't like it so much. After 92-93 everyone started to smarten up, like not wearing trainies and trackies, and the 051 opened up, and Cream which was alright, if you didn't mind a load of students, from surrey, to be fair they were mainly cool.
haha....more u watch moreu see every t wat with one on...add idas trackie....nothin changes in lpool im guessin everyone still wearin same clobber...no culture
I challenge you to find any one walking around liverpool city centre in a something like that, style is everywhere. I'm not tryin to tell you i look like i'm straight off the catwalk myself, i've got better things to spend my money on than my clothes. The only people wearing anything resembling anything from that queue are on heroin, and they're the few that probably took that up in 1992 and on still clinging on to life.
im on this vid and im sound ,2 kids and a good life..no smack ...but yes i used to get wasted,,,and my clothes and style has changed ,in fact im quite a fuckin bad ass u shallow tit xx
Nowhere is perfect. Anyway scousers are very well dressed in 2009, and believe me we have culture. Its just our luck that the ones with the biggest mouths also have the least braincells, worst sounding accents, worst dress sense and orangest faces.
0:50...some c unts gt one of those sh it velvet trackies on that every had ten to a penny from every shady shop goin....sad c u nt bein me....got mine fro some shop near wiliamson sqaure.....f uk i was a bad tramp
you can just swear on youtube yanno mate no need for all that sh it, look; FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK TWAT BUM WILLY lol they don't censor, freedom of speach, just so yanno. No offence intended.
Awesome days, remember when it turned from lager lout club when Dave Graham binned his wacky hats acting like Timmy mallet to go rave in 91, was superb for a good year untill the scally rats jumped on board, the bassment was awesome too and was possibly better to experience drugs with the music and the freak out lights they used to have, rats shining on the dance floor, fuck me tripping it was scary.
I don't remember that many fanny heads. My brains fucking addled.
I used to get me arse down the front left at the start of the night but then end up jibbing me mates as I went of on one, an veer off to the right hand side of the stage as you look at it and get of towards the back where it was dark with all the loons.
Proper club with it's own atmosphere. fucking electric.
Some mad kick offs as the years went by though.
"security to the dancefloor" off that MC Cyanide balloon.
The horn blower was the tall, baldy lad (can't remember his name!) used to stand at the top bar with all the Bootle lads. He was alright.
Was a top club until a) the gangster wannabe's started ruining the gaff and b)the music went utterly garbage when the likes of Christian and Ultrasonic played their skipping music.
Everyone stopped going when beauts like you started turning up including Birkenhead old heads who packed in to go back on the beer for a year before getting back at the cream
first rave i ever went to,even the queue was full of shadeys.Once you got in though and you hadnt been jarged the place went off.we used to get as close to the middle as we could, cause the edges were tax heaven.
Many happy nights spent there... Woodside Ferries for a chong first, queue up, throught the doors, searched by the bouncers, pay the woman and walk into a top night. Loads of shady's though, seen 'enuff fights in there. Big up the Neston Riot Squad!

This club was amazing for a few months 92-93. scally nob heads spoilt it like they spoil everything.
It went insane... and it wasn't the drugs that made it insane. It was the scally nob heads.
