  • Lol, 2:45 to 2:55 is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. "May I interest you in a crisp, Madam?" Not even Roger Moore could pull that one off.

  • The bloke was really chasing her for a new head gasket set, the woman could have put the bike under the gap between the block and head.

It's filmed in and around Nice, good job it wasn't summer they wouldn't have got to the end of the street

  • Must have been wishful thinking on the part of BL...it would be more like the Volvo rescuing the Rover at the side of the road.....

  • Now we have double the chance of a break down!!!

  • I am a classic Volvo fan. Give me a funky 1980 345DL anyday in blue.

  • Great video! That is some funky bassline too. Earworm!

  • I really like it. Go on! We want more!!!

  • A Volvo 240 broken down next to a driving Rover SD1 is like an advert telling you that smoking is good for your health.

  • I read it the other way. The Rover SD1 was so far ahead, that was ready for the future: the flatpack shopping at Ikea!

  • LOL

  • BL cars have so much charm you can't help but like them i'd like to own a Rover SD1,Triumph Dolomite Sprint,Triumph 2500 PI,Rover 2500,Austin Princess and a Rover P5B Coupe

  • I wondered what Michelle Platini is up to these days while he is not trying to turn football in to croquet.

  • Absolutely brilliant... Is that Anton Rodgers, by the way? I thought he was heading the same way as the people's Princess at 3:32...

  • I wonder if he got any in the end then?

  • I remember back in the early 80's my best mates Dad having a 1979 SD1 2600. We thought we were so cool in it!

Then he replaced it with a 2300S!

  • Even tho I'm a young guy (22yrs old), I still think that 60's & 70's BL Cars were amazing engineering marvels and WAY ahead of their time. It's just a pity I wasn't around in those eras to drive them when they were still in production. I'd love to own a P6-3500 or an SD1-3500 one day. We should NEVER be ashamed of BL.

    Dave

  • Good man! The SD1 is an absolute classic.

  • My late uncle was an unfortunate Dutch garage owner who in 1970 became a BL dealer, but stopped doing so, with absolute repulsion and horror, 5 years later. He wrongly assumed that British made cars were still the quality products of the pre-BL era.

    It nearly ruined him.

  • I liked the 2600, not much slower than the 8 but better on fuel. my 2600 was a good reliable car

  • yeah there was only 20 or so bhp in it, no differnence really, I loved the old triumph straight 6 sound too!

  • lolz bretty cool
