  • What a great song! I used to play over and over when I was younger. My family and I actually got to meet him at the Sun Bowl Fan Fiesta and we even got his autograph! Yaye!

  • I love live music, and he is a great live performer. There's no other voice like his, He's great.

  • Let's walk on the Memory Lane, shall we?

  • crazy key its in

  • @meknifeu Yes, you are right. Winds up in F Sharp Major but two other keys before it gets there.

  • Very Unique voice......and Very Good.

  • I love this song, was disappointed he didn't sing it while in Edmonton though. He was awesome though. The last time I saw him was 25 years ago and I had front row seats and my and my friends threw roses on stage. It was great!

  • My dear i would give my body, house, clothes washed and love for all and always.

  • I hope women freely give their bodies to him.

  • Yeeahh I like him :)

  • That's the music of a great genious...-->Brian Wilson<--...also a good cover!!

  • @eoras77: I was thinking the same thing. Thomas does a swell cover of this Beach Boys/Brian Wilson classic. I like both.

  • The nice thing about BJ Thomas is that if your blind and go to his concerts today, you know it's actually him singing his songs.

  • WOW, he is just awesome, that last note was great!!!!

  • WOW Here goes my heat again......

  • so good on the stage~

not many ppl are go on stage but he is awesome. i respect him tons. <3

  • Wow! I have never really seen him singing 'live' and I've never heard him sing this song, either. He IS incredible! WOWOW!

  • he rocks.....

  • he's still Hot! Sounds great too...

  • BJ THOMAS IS THE ABSOLUTE EVERYTHING. I WISH I COULD WATCH HIM ALL DAY--IN PERSON THAT IS! LIKE FINE WINE, HE JUST GETS BETTER WITH AGE.

  • First time I've heard BJT sing this classic. Great voice doing justice to a great song.

  • this was always one of my favs

  • BJ refuses to go off key!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fantastic range and voice. love this..ty...juneanne

  • One of the few artists who could take a Beach Boys song and do it justice. What a voice!

  • amazing, power , range, feel, staying power endurance, one of my favorite artist of all time. its just in you mr thomas natural gift. patrick w

  • Didnt know he did this...Very good singing BJ. They are both very good. Dont think he sings it better then the Beach Boys, but still very good version. Thx for posting

  • Yes I agree this guy was always underrated. Not sure why he has a superb voice and phrasing. Maybe his management wasn't so good back then but he sure still has talent, he sounds just as good older as he did when younger.

  • God, BJ still sounds great! Glad we all survived the 60s!!

  • EVERGREEN!

  • Had the pleasure of meeting this awesome man some years back and have a photo of him with his arm around me...such an honor. Special person, he dedicated all his songs to his beautiful, loving wife who has stood by him as her vows state, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others as long as we both shall live. She is definitely what makes him complete.

  • loved it..thanks for posting...

  • Underrated singer with a unique voice. Excellent arrangement and interpretation. Check out his version of LITTLE GREEN APPLES, it's a masterpiece. Always a gas to hear BJ !

  • this is my second favorite version of this song, BJ is one of my favorite artists of all time, but no one will do a beach boy song better than the beach boys.

  • Killer job! Usually, I don't like a song that drags on too long, this is an exception. I always loved this song, but it needed some grown up lyrics to replace the teenie bopper lyrics that Brian Wilson penned. BJT did the tune up that was needed, BJ sings like a man with passion for his lady.

  • BJ You still got it and its better than ever!!

  • I really like this cover. At least he got rid of that dumb Wilson line about singing about his car.

  • the car line wasn't dumb, you have to consider the time it was written. I'm going to be nice today and just let you off the hook, besides its obvious you suffer from low mental functions.

  • @blueticecho You should never change the lyrics when you do other people's songs. It was written that way for a reason. Dennis Wilson used to race his corvette and brag about how fast it was. The lyrics reflect that. On another note, B J Thomas still has an amazing voice after all these years. Thanks for posting.

  • His voice sounds the same as when he started out. He has a great voice.

  • BJ Thomas is not Jewish, He is Cristian Protestant.

  • I just went to see him on 1/1/2010. OMG.. He was AWSOME!!!!! I was in the second row and got some good pics. Can never have enough of B. J. Thomas!!!

  • @debiam2003 where did you see him?

  • @KeithMajor11 >>>> Colusa Casino

  • bj you sound great and this is an awsome performance JEHOVAH GOD BLESS you and yours , and many thanks for posting this.

  • I love this DVD - The best of B.J.Thomas LIVE - He is one class act and his voice amazing!!! There is only one thing better and that is hearing him LIVE !!! B.J.Thomas ! Nós iremos te amar para todo e sempre !!!!

  • Is BJ jewish?

  • I always thought his 1977 recorded version was awesome.

  • really sexy with a sexy way of singing too...

  • Fantastic cover by a great and incredible vocalist! 10 stars **********. Tried, but could only give 5.

  • He still sounds amazing!

  • Love his way with a Brian Wilson song.

  • my favorite singer, singing my favorite group..check out my versions of a couple of his songs...no where near as good as him though

  • Bj Thomas is awesome great performer indeed and sexi as hell ,,,he played at a casino in the south that I worked at and I worked his shows every night for months !!!

  • @Bonafide68 I never thought of him as sexy, but I love him and his singing.

  • Still a cutie after all these years! He still sounds the same! BJ Thomas is one of the greatest performers ever!!

  • I love this song!

I loved this "performance" is GREAT!!!!

    We love B.J.Thomas in Brazil.

  • Great cover from one of the greatest singers of any musical genre. Long live BJ!

  • He´s simply great!

  • woohoo, still cute after all these years.

    But then I'm old too ; )

  • hey girl we aint old, just older!

  • JAJAJAJA es el Puma Rodriguezzz!! pero yankii, genial.

    buena version.

  • heh my dads a good bg singer huh? he also multitasking the drums ^.^

  • cant find bj singing amazing grace

  • I've been a long time fan of his.

BL still sings beautifully; but I am disappointed in the choice of outfit.

It doesn't live up to his legendary status.

  • A COUPLE?? Apparently you weren't listening in the'60's and '70's...LOL!

  • sigue cantando lindo a pesar de que los años han pasado no pierde su calidad y ademas sigue guapìsimo

te felicito B.J. desde Perù COngratulations we love you

  • BJ es un grande...inmenso cantante con una voz especial...

Esta canción es mi preferida de The Beach Boys y en su voz resulta excelente...¡cantante y medio!.

Saludos desde San José de Costa Rica...¡viva Latinoamérica unida!...

  • of course hes a great singer, he was raised in Houston TX

  • I hear that!

  • And, don't forget --Janis Joplin was not born or raised in Houston but perfected her style at the 'Sand Mountain' --a legendary folk club in the Houston Montrose area. It was on Richmond Ave, as I recall.

  • Right on - BJ sings beautifully.

Netlix has a live concert of his, which is just incerdible.

You could make an audio cassette of the

    gig.

  • this magic to watch and listen to.

  • I love you BJ Thomas

  • He's just great and puts on a great live show too.

  • B J wrote and sang so many great tunes back in my teen years man he was hot those were the good ol days us baby boomers getting older lol

  • I don't BJ Thomas writes any of his own music. And don't forget the song "Don't Worry Baby" was originally by the Beach Boys.

  • But B.J Thomas is very better then Beach Boys.

  • Great interpretation, and great substitute lyrics. Arguably better second verse than the original. This went to #17 in 1978, I think. What a voice.

  • he looks like Mick Jagger, but sings much better....(always has and always will).

  • One of the most underrated performers of his generation, still has the golden pipes!

  • one of the best singers of the pop rock era.flawless

  • LOVE ME SOME BJT

  • so underrated..my gosh..this guys voice is awesome..with more control than even elvis..i have alwayz though bj had a prettier voice than elvis..but elvis was a rocker. and could out rock and dance bj..still bj deserve more props than hes received.

  • By far my favorite song. From Brazil,Rio de Janeiro.

  • Goddamit this is good!

  • nice.

  • as a lifelong beach boys fan, i can say this is a great interpretation. he originally covered this back in the 70s if i remember right.

and bj thomas still has it!

  • YEAP. U'R RIGHT AND I GIVE U TUMPS UP

  • Those eyes and those dimples. What a combination. I am shuddering at the thought.

  • A good tribute to the source material. Brian and carl would approve this. heck i like it

  • I argued last week with a southern rock buddy. I think bj thomas is one of the greatest performers of my time. I like that he claimed to be a christian around the 80's.

  • STILL the hottest guy on the face of the earth, with the hottest voice ever created by the great God of music. Keep it up, BJ, I've been lost in your eyes for years...

  • love it ....thanks so much for posting.

  • B J Thomas is coming to Newfoundland in Oct and i have my Ticket!.Can't wait!!!!!

  • way to go!thank you.....a very pretty song....

  • B.J. as the best singers has a unique style, that in my understanding is superb, & recognized as it for most of the people that enjoy music. This is it, besides personal memories, circumstances that for sure made us a mark.you can know whenever B.J. is singing, that´s the point

  • B.J. Thomas is one of the greatest singers of all time.

  • I love to see video.

Nós brasileiros amamos de paixão B.J.Thomas.

  • This tune is so kewl. I first heard it over the radio in Hawaii, when as a 16-year-old, I went to work over there in the summer of 1977 . It came out in August of that year. I went to the beach and was greeting by strong waves and grains of sand. Brings back lots of memories of my teenagehood years. Seemed like yesterday.

  • BJ Thomas has goods the best romantics themes, I listened his songs when I was boy

  • Does anyone have a transcript of the different lyrics B.J. is using here? I can't really understand what he is saying some of the time, especially in the second verse.

  • B.J. is from Texas...makes me proud!

  • Oh my goodness!! Thank you for more BJ! There is only one thing better and that is hearing him live!!! There is some of his younger day stuff on here too. I never understood the screaming at Beatles and Elvis but BJ , SQUUEEELLLL!!! and whether it's Gospel or Rock or Pop or country, NO ONE does it better!

God bless you BJ!!!!!!! oh I forgot CHristmas music, he does that great too.

  • God How I love his voice! Just as much today as 38 yrs ago!!!

Thanks for all your songs BJ!!!

    We want more!!

    Carol in Roy WA

  • 1 of my all time favorite singers! My fav of his is Mighty Clouds Of Joy..

    thanks for posting this!

  • does any one remember BJ Thomas"s "it's the last song that I'll write for you"???

  • >does any one remember BJ Thomas"s "it's the last song that I'll write for you"???

That song was by Edward Bear:

Did you know I go to sleep and leave the lights on hoping you'd come by and know

that I was home and still awake but two years go by and still my light's on this is hard for me to say but it is all that I can take...

  • I love BJ more then you.

    He's so hott to.

  • One of my favorite B J Thomas songs. Such talent. Thanks for this video.

  • im still worrying baby

  • Simply one of the best. Great video, thanks for posting!

  • BJ Thomas has one of the most distinctive voices in rock music. Thanks for sharing!

  • BTW B.J. is beautiful!!!!!! Here is talent at it's best.

  • hi mario

  • What a fine performance. Bravo BJ!!!

  • Gosh guys can't you see Mike Love does not have an ounce of talent in him! Why does he own the Beach Boys name now??? Yikes I pity youngsters who watch Beach Boys and think Mike Love's Beach Boys is The Beach Boys, hehehe. Would you guys believe he even brought in his son to join??

  • Mike Love.......... I saw them in 1967 in Scotland he was fucking way out of his head on Drugs. Now he thinks he was the voice of the Beach Boys .........WRONG !! In July this year Brian Wilson came to Scotland with his show to the Famous outdoor Concert T in the Park and Blew all the young ones away. Stay at home Mike and have another wank

  • Mike Love has not had a voice for years. Not that he ever did. Brian was the voice in the Beach Boys with some back up from his Brothers. Mike did nothing for the band but he was the smart one. That's why he owns the rights.

  • I won't worry, baby!

  • Hermosa cancion y buena interpretación en su disco grabado

  • good song....i was in high school

    mdieck

  • Very nice video clip. I have one also, check it out. It's from farther away. Where and when was this one?

  • Timeless. What a performer.

  • This is great stuff. Where was this?

  • wonderful..

  • BJ is awesome, vibrato/resonance (sp) truly unique, IMO! :D

BTW, does anyone remember Brown Eyed Woman, plus know where I locate? :O

Many thanks in advance, and appreciate you uploading wleme! ;o

  • What memories listening to him brings back. Nobody like him. thanks

  • Querido B J Thomas sua voz me faz sonhar com coisas lindas!!! You are brilliant!!!

  • Wow. I saw him in concert twice, the last time about 5 years ago. His voice is so timeless.

  • You got that right! And, it's just as great as ever. One of the finest voices in any style.

  • I just saw BJ live and his voice still sounds just the same as always, even the high ranges! He is amazing live and very funny! Love me some BJ

  • Gotta love B.J. He had one of the unique voices in pop history. And his version of Don't Worry Baby blew the Beach Boys out of the water...but that was 30 years ago. He has no high range left. See if you can find the original recording. It's so good, it's almost frightening. I'd rather see him doing new material now than tackling things that his voice can't handle.

  • BJ's version is the one I grew up on. I still a have recording of it on an old K-Tel album.

  • Him & David Foster looks like they could be brothers and both are musical geniuses.

  • What I would give for a voice half that great!

  • Listening to B.J. makes you think everything really

will be alright. I know his voice is one of the best

    of all time.

  • Bj Thomas sings so good its scary.

  • BJ is brilliant.What a voice!

  • que gran cancion, recien pude ver a este gran cantante en una actuacion en vivo.

  • he sang his ass off, great vocal range and deep down soul, awesome!!

  • ok, he is making some goofy faces while singing, but still amazing voice!

  • What a great voice!

  • Wow...Faget.

  • Cheers!

  • ok, he is making some goofy faces while singing, but still amazing voice!
