@EarlRegent So what exactly where you expecting out of a live adaptation of a children's cartoon? A deep compelling story? Multilayered and compelling characters? I think you are nostalgia blinded, not a bad thing per say. I grew up with Transformers as well, but when you look back as an adult, you have to see what it really is. It was a cartoon with a pretty straight forward plot, pretty simple yet memorable characters, and just action and fighting. Only thing Bay did was put focus on humans.

All we asked was for a Director with transformers in his childhood. 4.The weapons sounds were so pathetic(like an old atari videogame) and had no depth or shock value. 5. Sam's character is an alien compared to the original Sam. This idiot Bay needs to understand that change(cnt)

They even made mistakes in decepticon characters and vehicle modes in the first and second one, I mean HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?! Was anyone on set a transformers fan? I mean I enjoyed it but, why are you gonna make Sam and Mikaela say they love each other and then just toss Mikaela out and add Carly? Carly should have been there in the first place. I love the old cartoons and comics from '84 a lot more than this. Way more. The 2nd movie sucked big time. Sure, lots of explosions and bouncing boobs are nice, but it's nothing like the earlier Transformers. Hopefully Bay can actually do the Transformers some justice with the 3rd movie.
