After it passed to the afterlife, there were no more ghosts (besides ghost pokemon) in the tower, and it was later modified into a Radio Tower. I know it seems disrespectful, but I think it was meant to symbolize moving on from a dark place. The people of Lavender Town seemed happier, the music was happier. And there was still a building there to pay respects to the deceased.

@RedGreenBluePig if pay close attention to 4th gen HG/SS, you'll notice they changed a lot to make the game more G-rated, or to cause no possible "bad influences". how they got rid of the slot machines in the game corner and made the bikers say nice and uplifting things. they are just pleasing people who don't play the game.

@Hyperfuego It's fun if you haven't played the remakes too much and can put up with obvious glitches. It's not pretty since its on old hardware, but its immersive nevertheless. If all you do is use the really nasty broken stuff like Hyper Beam spam, Missingno cloning and Starmie, then no it'll be too easy. Not that the game is hard to start to start with (its newbie friendly), but you have fun in the game just like any other oldschool pokemon game. Catch pokemon, raise them and kick ass.
