i can't remember which part you mentioned Knuckles back story being messed up in chronicles. I recall that the Japanese version of SA1 actually says Knuckles was the last 'Knuckles' which was his clan name. Some earlier fans of SA1 actually believed in Japan they never called him an echidna they called him a Knuckles instead because of it. Its never implied that Knuckles was the last echidna in the Japanese version, that much I do know.

In the gallery, you can unlock concept art of the townspeople. It says that they were designed to "embody the spirit of the forest" or something like that. (Was it me who told you about them before?)

Sonic's exact line was: "This brings back memories, except last time, I was with Shadow!" I misunderstood that line the first time I heard it...

You know, you don't have to jump to activate the kick move. It's much easier to do it on the ground. Also, the blue fairies are there for a reason.
