  • she reminds me of Jessica Lange here..................simply beautiful.

  • She's so adorable.haha!

    Love this song.

An lol at that guy at the beginning.

  • This was a fave of mine. Saw them...they were tight.

  • hell yeah --45 grave rocks ---if you dont like 45 grave than your probably taking newts dick in your azz.

  • The girl I love is so twisted, she makes this girl look amish.

  • @TheDistortedViews Wait, Dina ISN'T Amish? WTF?

  • We need more for sure, but not in the fucking disco club et similia.......... STOP POSING PLEASE!!!!!!!

  • dinah cancer is the hottest chick from the 80s punk scene ever

  • Peter Ivers the Host didn't die of a heroin overdose, unfortunately he appeared to be bludgeoned to death by a hammer. But his charisma lives on.

  • wow! i remember the host of new wave theatre during its brief tenure on early MTV. i later learned that he died of a heroin overdose. but i commend him for doing his best to bring the newest underground music to the masses. and yes, i had this album. i think i inherited it from either my sister mika or my brother kris. i foolishly traded it for suicidal tendencies first album.

  • sounds like theyre playing holiday in cambodia backwards lol!

  • I love all the comments that always say "back when music was good blah blah blah" you sound like your dad around the time this came out. How soon we forget? It's not as if 45 Grave, Germs, Black Flag, whoever else were all over the radio and the TV. It was all Bee Gees and Leif Garrett.

  • @ultramouse Any weekend in LA we could see any of those bands depending on how far you wanted to drive. If you didn't have a car, no problem. I don't recall anyone who asked not getting a ride. Ya, it was a pretty cool time and I knew it.

  • man, back in the day when there was such a thing as punk and rock and roll now everything is disney corporate bullshit NOONE dose it themselves they just suck off anyone and sell out.

  • hahah dumb asses you have no clue about 45 grave and vox pop take some more acid and listen to black cross a few times

  • shes fucking hot!!!

  • I was there #1 fan back in the day in L.A.! Creepy monsters, vampire bats and ghoulish nightmares live forever in your mind!!

  • Wow. This comments thread reads like a high school lunchroom. It's fucking 45 Grave. They played darker punk. People called it deathrock a little later. That's probably the best name to use for it now. Simple.

  • Emos need to GTFO. Their music is shit. Gothic rock/deathrock should never be lumped into the same category as emo or screamo shit...

  • @MordaciousFilms

I totally agree with you on that one man.

    GRUNGE IS NOT DEAD BITCH!

  • Mmmm, so good. <3

... Gaah, now I feel like a pervert for Dinah. XD

  • purty

  • I heard this song first from The Nerve Agents, then heard the original on the George Van Orsdel Radio show. If you like this song and have not heard The Nerve Agents or GVO Radio... please do yourself a favor... google them.

  • @GothycDreams hahah shit!!! yeah fuck them same here

  • Dinah is still HOT...to this day!!!

  • this song and black cross are my favs.

  • Dinah Cancer has a cute smile :)

  • omg the host's voice is gross.

  • @imafuckingrobot - Go read up on Peter Ivers and New Wave Theatre. He was way, way ahead of his time.

  • @cypherks That doesn't change the fact that I think his voice is gross.

  • @imafuckingrobot you just think its gross because its not modified

  • @kunowolf Are you saying I like autotune? lmao. I just don't like his voice.Plain and simple.

  • One of my favourite deathrock band! I love 45 grave... I saw them in Rimini ... fabulous!

  • one of my favorite shows back in the day, used to catch it on late night cable

  • One of their best songs!

  • i used to love this band, donnie from the germs plays drums for this band. i have to admit though after hearing the germs and alice bag band / the (original) bags i stopped listening to it as much, to put it simply goth was getting bigger and bands like 45 grave and tsol started to do that dark punk stuff ie ;rybofalvin / code blue / evil /darker my love ;its way better than modern "punk" but not as good as the early punk scene.

  • Damn.. an 80's band.. the singer could have been my mom lol. Anyway, this is pretty sick. Some people might not like the singer but it's horror punk, and I guess that's the way it was meant to be. Just like other different style of music. Rap, Metal, Opera, Country, etc.

  • Call it goth, call it punk, call it "death rock", call it anything you like...this is one of the greatest songs of the 80's. File it next to Party Time, under "fucking awesome beyond belief".

Love the wild questions from the host at the end: "What's the meaning of life for new-wavers in Los Angeles?"

  • We need more girls like this around

  • So awesome *.*

  • she sounds like the female version of Darby Crash. :)

  • @ginsburgfan999 alice bag is the female version of darby crash

  • those guys were crazy, some fun shows. great band name too. i think i might still have a flyer or two with them on the bill.

  • @wdmounger Wow, good for your friend. Never heard of them. I, however, know everyone in this band, played gigs with them, and came of age in the SoCal punk scene in the late 70's and early 80's. So yes, I am 'hipper' than you and I still stand by my statement that you just don't get how influential 45 Grave was.

  • I agree with you this is why i don't put songs like this on my phone my Gothic friends would disown me lol

  • @paisleyisgreat then your "friends" are probably poseurs

  • Actually lol i don't know why i called them gothic im the only one that listens to goth music and dresses goth they are just posuers but they didn't claim to be gothic in the first place

  • the music is awesome, so much energy.. the nerve agents cover this song really well,

  • Great bass tone! Great tune!!

  • I flew 2000 miles just to see her.

And I got to meet her.

Most down to earth woman I've ever met. And it was honor just to stand in front of her.

Dinah Cancer is a deity in her own right and stands for something very beautiful.

  • what does down to earth mean?

  • @wdmounger too bad you have no clue about this great and influential band.

  • Comment removed

  • dinah is so cute

  • Saw 45 Grave quite a few times and they always kicked ass. Their Halloween show at Club Minimal in Sac was fucking great!

  • Great Gothic rock!

  • 45 Grave are one of my fave bands of all time, such a great inspiration. XD

  • hahahahahahaha, one of me mates can laugh like that!

    though she's a black-metalhead... =\

still, you should just hear her screams and growls, another one of me mates (who's more into heavy-metal and metalcore), who wants to date her told her a joke, she stared laughing and he thaught that he was talking to satan him\herself! :D

at least that's what he told me... >.>

  • This was not a public access show!

This was on UHF channel 52 & 22 in LA area. We did not have cable TV in the LA/OC area until 1983. It originally aired on Friday nights, but they used show reruns during the week at 4 or 5 o'clock. The production was first rate b/c David Jove was well funded & I think seen himself like those jazz patrons whom recorded not for profit but rather for documentation of something truly revolutionary. There is a building on the campus of Harvard that bears his name.

  • 45 serious truth that I love good deathrock

  • que chimba de canción

  • que chimba de chicano

  • Popefest 09!!!!

  • Good music Deathrock

  • that's a really good performance, like it when she laughs :)

  • deathrock

  • dont you think that the band members should decide wat genre they are? there are just way too many types of music now days. plus whats so wrong with goths? goth is a very respectable subculture thats been around a long time. better to be mistaked by preps for a goth than an emo

  • nuthin is wrong with "goth" folks. its just that people today steretype goths as dudes wearing trench coats shooting up schools. most people that throw the term goth around think its marilyn manson and no nothing about 80's music like 45 grave. i really dont give a shit. how bout we just call it death squad music.

  • ya i dont even acknowledging emo in hopes it passes

  • @rickhorror you just did

  • the l.a./o.c. punk scene in the early 80's really took a turn for the darkside. "death rock" was pretty much born in SoCal. that just seems strange to me. christian death, 45 grave, tsol, even social d seemed like a darker band back then.

  • back when music was better

  • @rickhorror Sure, the 80's saw a boom of musical innovation, but it had just as much crap as any other period of time. There are lots of great bands out today, but you have to look for them just like you had to look for bands like 45 Grave in the 80's.

  • @rickhorror You mean, back when music was any good (and not multibillonaire corporate teen shit)

  • I'm a Christian, and I'm mostly good I would say. This song reminds me of nearly all so-called "Christians" though. Who else knows "Christians", who are just EVIL.

Benny Hinn and the Pope just announced a tour together where they will rape infants to death and eat dog shit on stage. They had to book two nights at Madison Square Garden, both nights sold out very quickly, but I got my tickets.

    POPEFEST '09 BABY!

  • haha the vocalist looks like Ally Sheedy.

  • She is a cool chick! Love this band! Saw them in 1986 with T.S.O.L at Fenders Ballroom in Long Beach CA. Best F**king show ever!

  • i had this record. i stole it from my older brother when i was 14. i traded it on what was supposed to be a temporary basis for suicidal tendencies first album with my friend Todd Rudis. i gave him back the suicidal album after i taped it but that f*cker didn't give me the 45 grave album back.

  • i loveeee dinah! <3

  • Damn, punk in the 80s was the best. It will never be this good.

  • its deathrock

  • yup , or what idiots would like to call it

    "goth" lol

  • What's so idiotic about it? It's a type of goth music, so what's the problem?

  • since you are a young person ill forgive you for your lack of knowing but in terms of what is "goth" and what isnt .. the original term for this type of music was called Death Rock, its the jocks and preps that gave it the label goth,

much like with todays music , people hear some band and automaticly its called emo. even though the band itself is in no way shape or form emo at all.

  • Even 45 Grave themselves admit that they're Goth! People established this in the 80's, this is not a new concept. It was actually the listeners of deathrock that gave is the term Goth and now it sticks. I don't care to argue, so, goodbye.

  • No, I would call Nirvana grunge. I hate the emo stereotypes just as much as you do. You have no idea how much I am called emo. I'm not dumb enough to call everything emo like other people are.

  • @GothycDreams I know how that one goes ... I have idiotic friends who do that all the time ... its starting to replace the use of the word "gay" people calling things they think are bad gay ... now they are just calling it emo its kind of lame...

  • @GothycDreams i hate emos nd im goth nd i know how u feel

  • @GothycDreams idk. nirvana had punk rock traits about them. the media dubbed them "grunge"

  • @GothycDreams

Ugh I've been called emo myself.

    Wankers!

  • Dinah Cancer has always kicked ass. 45 Grave played with Specimen at one point. I want to watch PenisFlyTrap now. Dinah was such a whore to bands...this is what makes her so special!!

  • Dinah is fuckin hot! ...

  • it's so evil!!

  • A rare and dark gem! I love ya Dinah!

  • 25 years and counting...

  • Hah I love the weiner at the beginning
