I mean think about this logically for a second. She was trying to get a bill passed, and she needed the votes from the republicans, right. rich get richer and the poor get poorer. finance organisations need to be regulated more firmly. banks were giving people mortgages which they knew these people couldnt afford. there has to be something not right there.

We know Reagan opened this door to disaster with massive de-regulation and Trickle Up economics. (google it. Time did a pretty balanced article on it a few years ago).

When a democratic system is deregulated, you can ALWAYS expect the rich to use the system to get more $. Are you American? American history shows REGULATION is a basic Dem tenet. Come Nov they WILL get a 2/3 majority they lack now 2 effect real change. IF they DON"T, "NEXT!" but it won't be repubs..lol Not for a LOOONG time.

Are you retarded or talking about things you don't know about or a healthy combination of both? The CRA required banks to OFFER (IMPORTANT KEYWORD: OFFER) loans to everyone within a territory like a county so that they couldn't exclude certain towns. It DID NOT require banks to APPROVE these loans. It's like how you get credit card applications in the mail but they aren't necessarily approved. Also, the CRA was passed in the 70's, so if it is responsible it took 35 years to happen.

This act has been massaged over the years to do many things. I am glad you know what the word offer means, however that is just language, and as you very well know sometimes there are other influences that effect such acts.
