@MECAmovies It does still work for the example you gave -- you just stopped too soon. with 4, 5, 12 and 16 you can still take our another 4 (just bring the 5 down). Then you have 4, 4, 5, 3 and 4. Multiply those together and you get 960.

This is an interesting process, but it doesn't work for LCM all the time. Try the numbers 20, 48, and 64.
the LCM by the method in this video would be 4 x 5 x 12 x 16= 3,840
but the actual LCM is 960. So, unless I've missed something, this isn't accurate.
