Just think - engineer metals like titanium or platinum or some other kind of super-conductive metal which could then be put to good use. There's no potential for military use here as it can't be used for destruction and that's the only reason it still hasn't caught up. Nuclear energy was first use for bombs, then to produce energy.

A very interesting documentary. I haven't seen it before. Cold fusion is essentially a nuclear reaction but without usual phenomena such as neutron bombardment and gamma radiation. The fact that the results are not always the same might suggest the basics for this theory lay in the principles of quantum theory and it will be a while till they crack that one out. In any case, it's a breakthrough discovery. What is even more interesting is the spontaneous prduction of different kinds of metals.

I would like to know when this was made as well...we don't have fusion, but we are certainly doing our part to use hydrogen and water as fuel in our hho generators. We don't have a billion dollar budget like the govt., but we are still able to develop and sell decent systems that use water to increase mileage. Too bad some of that money couldn't be focused on this field...

The marvel of cold fusion! It's amazing that the gov'ment, Big Oil, and egocentric scientists have been suppressing the energy of the future. Just think! If I put a cold fusion cell into my car today it would start every 4th or 5th day and when it does it gets 30% more miles to the gallon than regular gasoline. This is an old proses, patented by Norsk Hydro in the 1920`s, preaty easy to do also.
