  • good job my friend...

  • bass sounds gorgeous

  • Nice nice nice bass!, you can surely play to, my compliments.

That bass must motivate you greatly.

  • awesome bass line. by the way, Paul played the solo guitar on this song too.

definately one of the most tallented men this world has seen. =)

  • Very nice tone!

  • Beautiful bass!!

  • man, do you switch strings for every different song that you play on bass? and if not what kind of strings do you use??

  • makes me want to learn that! you're brilliant!

  • Greet

  • Brilliant!

  • very nice playing, however your playing way too busy during song, sometimes less is more man. It's much easier than your trying to play it.

  • Hey Kissnshout, He's playing the bass part note for note. Obviously you've never heard Paul McCartney play.

  • shut up, that "busy" playing made it great?

Bet you don't play not even a record

  • Its good to see a beautiful bass like that in the hands of someone who can ue it properly. Well played!

  • At taxtime chuck norris just sends in a blank form with a picture of himself crouched and ready to atack

  • chuck norris's tears can cure cancer.. too bad chuck doesnt cry..

  • chuck norris jokes telling people have small penises. seriously, why would anyone glorify manhood that much it it ewrent for that.

  • chuck norris is so old, he can't get an erection without pharmaceutical assistance.

  • buen sonido!!

  • beautiful bass sound, but its quite ropey thru out!! maybe u just werent on it, but if you was it would be super-dooper, you're gonna slag we off now, but im not lying!

  • This is one of the best bass performances on YT. Like the old saying goes, PUT UP or SHUT UP.

*jealous is no way to go through life.

  • Damn you are ridiculously good. You make it look so easy.

  • sweet bass solo at the beginning

  • good cover

  • goood!

  • Great job! I'm often amazed at how many people young and old (even musicians) are in the dark about what a GREAT bass player Paul was. Maybe it's because his unbelievable gift as a composer (coming UP with all the GREAT bass lines) sometimes overshadows his brilliant and solid playing. Just about everything he did was superb, and he often really shines on John's and George's songs . . . probably because his mind was in a way freer to explore, experiment.

  • Sweet

  • dude you rock, i just subscribed to you

could u send me the tabs i wanna learn this well

  • What String do u use? looks like flat wound? and what do u use as EQ setting for pedal and amp? it simply cauz i like that deep beefy sound which is pretty close to the 1 of a p bass with a Jazz and you have the kind of sound i like on a bass i wish i had any clue =D

  • no pick please

  • Excellent!!! Paul plays that double-click!!

    Escuchen bien el tema!!

  • you should be in a band.

  • its nice, but you kinda exagerated...

  • very cool

  • excellent

  • cuz your the bass man....YEAAAAAHHH your the bass man YEAAAAAHHHHHH....(GUITAR SOLO).

    THANKS...GREAT "STUFF"......PLAYN' AND CAMERA ANGLE!

  • Where can i get the Tab!!:)

  • dang this guy plays bass too!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • If Paul didn't play those gun cross over triplets on the bridge, who did then. If It's the part I'm thinking of, that part of the bass line was always my favorite.

  • Excellent

  • Although a Jazz Bass, it sounds as sweet as Paul's Hofner.

  • cool yeah, keep up load man!

  • To RexNunc, dude...you should listen with headphones. I thought that was one note on the octave, but there are 2 notes.

  • GREAT! I own a 1965 Fender Precision Bass (white). Great sound, esp when YOU play it!!!

  • this is a jazz bass... -_-

  • good eyes

  • >Excellent

    >Fantástico

  • u got skillz but Paul dosent play that double-pick on tha octave. Just one note not two.

  • you are correct on the double-pick

    good ear :)

  • Yes he does. Listen little better.

  • nice intro jam. How did you find a 76 j-bass in original condition??!! it had to have been super rare

  • dude hes using a fender jazz and it sounds like a fender bass man

  • such clarity.

  • Excellent. But Paul never played those Hendrix/Clapton machine gun cross over triplets on the bridge, or did he have the faculty to do so in 1966 or whenever...but then, you or I couldn't compose Yesterday.

  • hey man, what strings are you using? they got some sweet tone

  • you bass sounds great, i love it, and you play it very well.

Paul is an amazing bass player, i don't know why he rarely gest credit for it.

  • very nice!

  • super!

  • nice!

  • You don't happen to live in Texas do you?

  • What kind of jazz bass is that and what amp are you playing through? Sounds nice and retro but with a stunning clarity. Play with a pick and fingers. Good to know both

  • the bass looks like a fender jazz bass american made. as for the amp, i have no clue

  • Only a pick will provide such clarity and sound. A whole nother story with fingers...

  • Its a Fender Precision Jazz Bass. Hope I could help. ;)

  • i dont have any peddles for my bass. i have an epiphone sg,i dont know what its called though, when i play stuff like this i put the bass, and treble to max,i turn off the presence and put the middle to two, i sortof get that jazzybass kind of sound like in this video.

  • Almost excellent but I definitly agree with luisvierafcp :-)

  • Ever notice that bum note Paul hits near the end of "Ticket to Ride"? The first note when he comes in after "My baby don't care". A half-step off! I wonder why they left it?

  • One of Pauls' best bass lines. You're a little off on my favorite part-the chorus, but it's still a great job.

Paul ripping on the guitar solo, too!

  • you shouldn't play with a pick...

  • Die, moron, die.

  • why... Is it because your one of the people that doesnt fully understand all the different styles and technique of the bass guitar?

  • stfu boob

  • I prefer fingerpicking but it depends what your playing.

Obviously a pick worked well for him, its preference.

  • why shouldn't you use a pick? if you don't mind me asking

  • Die, moron, die.

    Agreed

  • i love your playing and ur bass

  • Nicely played!

  • U the best bass player i've ever seen play or heard of!!!

  • you are a pro bad ass

  • Man, i love it! You rock! You're the besst one I've ever seen!

  • Great sound on that jazz bass man, not to mention your great technique. I tried to finger pick it along with you. Harder than hell.

  • wow! now i can play my chordings more real. tnx a lot for this.

  • Clean baby, clean!

  • witch stirings do you use????

    killer tone!!!

  • Don't you know what Paul would say 'bout the strings?

  • omg the tone is perfecT!!!!

i am afan of you :)

  • Well done Dude! Thanks a lot ))

  • 2 delawellsoulmusic

Well done Dude! Thanks a lot ))

  • so cool.. great playing. love that song..what kind of amp are you using.

  • so good!

  • Wow very pleasant tone and perfect playing.

  • Pauls the best bassist ever. he was the first to play somthing interesting. very good job. my favorite part is the bridge. you killed it awsome job.

  • That is really great:-) Spot on! I just love Paul's bass. I have just put up a basic acoustic version of Every Night. Will you play bass on it for me if you get time? I'm trying to see if I can build something up that sounds ok.

  • that is so awsome

  • Paul was a talented mofo from the start. But when The Beatles entered into their second phase around '65-'66, he really got to come out of his shell. He basically invented melodic bass playing. No one in rock'n roll was really playing cool shit like that on bass, until he started doing it. Then a shit ton of bass players started playing more his style. Most people just like The Beatles period. But it's mostly musicians that "really" understand just how great The Beatles were.

  • I agree. McCartneys bass lines are inspired.

  • Yeah, cause of their difficult fingering and rythm playing and greta minds. =D

  • that could be because paul was a guitar player. When he picked up the bass he would play melodic stuff as if it were a guitar... maybe thats why paul plays so much melodic stuff in bass :)

  • Awesome playing! really beatles sounding!!!

  • well done my friend each bassline u post proves more and more that u deserve such fantastic bass

u should try covering yyz by rush it's bassline is awesome

  • bueno(a) pal bajo

  • wow, It sounded like the original, very good 5 stars

  • Your awesome. GREAT JOB, congratulations...Could you try with Yer Blues?.One more time..... GREAT JOB.

  • wow! i just loved the intro!!

    did you improvise that yourself?

or is it a bass line from another song

  • nice dude, where did ya get the tabs??

  • wow, you really blew my mind away with your bass playing, your awesome

    Tommy

  • Really nice! You nailed the Hofner tone!

  • Nice! Really nailed the Hofner tone with that Jazz bass.

  • nice job man, clear sound, and a good song of course

  • show off!!!! lol jk, nice jamin.

  • Awesome!

  • omg! dude... PERFECT TONE!!!!! i would buy that exact bass, chord, and amp just to get that excellent tone!

  • hey, cool, check out my version...

  • nice job but i cant stand bass players who use a pick :-(

  • well played mate

  • wena wena

  • Its my first day playing bass. This is fantastic!

  • wena loco te pasaste!exelente

    chile

  • do you want to start a band? what bass amp did you use on this?

  • awesome man.

  • Very good. Now, instead of using a pick, how about the fingers mate!

  • it's CORRECTLY played with a pick; like Paul did it.

  • why is this downvoted? i second not being a pussy

  • I'm pretty sure he can do it fingerstyle, because he played fingerstyle in the beginning. It's a posibility that he's using a pick because Paul is a pick bassist. It sounds crazy, but I think he's trying to re-create the sound. It's really good. Keep it up, man!

  • How do you get that tone? I have a Fender Jazz also and I was wondering what settings you use.

  • You have to use a pick to get McCartney's sound. Pick and flatwounds.

  • Fantastic job!

  • Good playing man.

  • from one bassist to another, i dig your style. great job

  • awesome m8

  • i love dis song

  • err. "note". Yeah, it was bugging me, for my comment below.

  • I never noticed that double not consciously before. Fucking great man. I think paul is one of the best bassists ever. And you're a great player. Really really nice.

  • is the a badass bridge?

  • nice playing dude i like the sound on the bass what kind of Fender Bass is that?

  • Great cover!

  • Woah woah!!!are u in a band already?cause if you're no i wanna join you and play all The Beatles with you!!!Nice mate, 5 Stars!!!

  • NICCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

  • Paul definitely played the bass on Taxman AND he also played the guitar solo. George tried to get the solo for hours and couldn't get it. Finally to get the session over, George Martin told Paul to do it, and he nailed it immediately. The solo was so great, that is why they tagged it back in at the end of the song.

  • omg is it the bass or the amp thats making that sound? because whatever it is your bass has such a good sound!

  • Great playing! Paul is the master.

  • Paul did'nt play bass on this track it was george!

  • Actually Paul played bass and the lead guitar solo.

  • George did play some bass traccs on Beatle recordings but not this one. Paul played both lead guitar and bass on this track.

  • could you give me the full name of this bass

  • its in pro i think

  • OMG u play bass to???

  • AWESOME JOB

  • the jazz bass is one of the best in the world ever

  • Yeh I think you are really fab so why don't you show you're face I mean you arnt some kind of deformed freak are you

  • you're very incredibly amazing! and you should tab that riff you do, it's really cool. why don't you show you're face if you're so good?

  • Really Awesome!

  • DUDE! Tab that thing you play before the song starts. I need a way to show off.

  • excelent you re a great musician

  • love the tone, good job

  • como suena ese bajo mn!!!

  • Your gettin a GREAT SOUND outta that bass. yeah i never use picks but i guess to play that fast u have to use one lol

  • You don't have to play with a pick to be fast, I hate to correct you out of no where, I just wanted you to know. Peace

  • I agree.

  • did paul use a pick when he recorded?

  • Definitivamente a partir de Revolver, McCartney se lucio tocando el bajo

  • yo diria que a partir de rubber soul...

  • it sounds so sweet! that's the versatility of the Jazz Bass.

  • just like the bass in Start! by the Jam.

  • That tone is AWESOME! Great job fingers!

  • this is pretty good

  • The dbl D is required! Excellently played. Keep posting.

  • Paul McCartney is such a good bass player!!!

  • awesome but

why do you double the D on the down beat

  • thats my point

  • great tone! are those flatwound strings?

  • is afender p-bass?
