  • why does she wear bandeges on her fingers??? someone please answer me

  • @Gunnardotson12 So the signs are easier to read - color coded.

  • she wears the bandages on her fingers because those fingers are the main ones used for sign language duhhhh!!!!!

well i guess i cant blame you because your not deaf but whatever!

  • One of my best friends, little two year old brother is deaf. He has learned more sign language from this show then he does his signing teacher.

  • @xoxlotsaluvsxox lucy?her names leia

  • I heard Rachel tell the story of how her wonderful daughters continue to defy expectations and prove miracles happen everyday. Those miracles are what inspired this song. Perhaps someday Joelle701 will have the opportunity to be blessed by a child with special needs and he/she won't be such a rude person who feels the need to mock in order to boost themselves up. Sad, I pitty you Joelle701, you are obviously a miserable person.

  • @AlliStusse AGREEED

  • Super Rachel you´r doing a great job

    I LOVE YAH

  • This is my favorite song. The words are so meaningful. Thank you Rachel for creating Signing Time! and this song!

  • For what I have learned nouns in ASL are executed with a double movement. Now, by moving your hands up in the air you are indicating that the butterfly is flying. This is a great song, I love the meaning of the words...all those special kids on the video are just what the song says: "little caterpillars dreaming of wings and flying away"

I'm very blessed to work with them!

  • Isn't "butterfly" just one flutter with your hands and "flying butterfly" is 2?

  • I think that it would not really matter in this song... the point is that they are trying to teach the basics, right?

  • This is an awesome program, I teach asl at my daughter's day care and found this is the best kids' program. I love the songs. I tell everyone who has a new baby about siginging time. thanks. Lizzy aka Auntie Liz At LLB

  • This is my favorite song!!!!

  • I'm 39 and find learning sign language to be very helpful it my current job. There are many customers who come into my work signing, and to be able to communicate with them while other associates look on is so rewarding. Not only for me but to serve my usual customers it's great!

  • If you have ever considered teaching your little one to sign this series is AWESOME! We started right before my daughter turned one and she just turned two and knows at least 75 signs. Many words she can't say. Being able to communicate is great. It's free on PBS in the morning on Tues and Thurs

  • oh my god i love this!

  • one of my favorite songs!

  • Mine TOO!
