From reading all of the posts, I'll answer everyone's questions. There are multiple series of Tenchi Muyo. This one is Pretty Girl Sammy (never seen anything of it 'til now, lol)

The blue-haired girl is Princess Sasami. She did fall, but was revived, she just THINKS she's not the real princess.

The red headed girl is Washu, and she was held captive by her student for 500 years (in Tenchi Universe, she was sealed away)
