@GeraldB526 They were both drafted by the Hornets. Larry was drafted 1st overall in 1991 and Morning with the 2nd overall pick in 1992 The Hornets were a decent team from 1992-1995. They just couldn't go deep in the playoffs since there were a lot of good teams in the East with the Bulls, Knicks, Magic and so many others.

I like when Pat Riley mentioned the fact that there was respect gained by both teams over the years. It's funny, because as a Heat fan, I absolutely despised everything about the Knicks, and I assume many Knicks fans felt the same way about the Heat. But both teams were so talented. I believe the 1999 Miami Heat was better than the 2006 Heat NBA Championship team. Nevertheless, for the Knicks to have matched-up so well with that team, I guess, any Heat fan can respect that squad of Knicks.
