@RomeroCentre1 faxzero looks good! I signed onto efax and forgot to cancel after the free trial period. I used the livechat and they SAID that they cancelled, we'll see. And yes, some archaic bureaucracies still use fax only... Mainly insurance companies, some universities, and some departments of US government. Gah... Wish they'd move on and accept scans already! Providian (insurance) was the reason that I signed up for efax in the first place. Wish I'd have seen faxzero.com first.
I have had them for over ten years without any problems, have never tried to cancel though. Your credit card company should be able to stop them if you want to cancel.
I have used eFax (paid account with toll free number) with great satisfaction for many years - 6 at least, probably closer to 10 or more years. The ONLY problem I have had in all that time is that one time their network was down for 12 hours or so. I don't do "paper" well; having eFax allows me to save all of my incoming faxes electronically as PDFs, or just forward via email to others. Customer service has always been easy to reach, and always handled my inquiry appropriately. A+++
I have used eFax for many years and had no issues. I do get random voice faxes from people I don't know but I just delete them. Any 800 number gets that. I ended up upgrading to the pro because i have months where I sent too many faxes for the free account. Every company makes mistakes and has its quirks so I would not discount the program. It has served me quite well for years. I have never missed a fax. That is key.
i sent 1 fax using this site and they took over 100$. luckily my bank noticed that the transaction was a fraud and blocked my cc and gave me my money back:D efax did however send the fax i wanted to send, so efax 0 me 1.
good that you spread the word about this stupid site
eFax and j2 Global are SCAM ARTISTS! Check out their rating at the Better Business Bureau. They unsatisfactorily responded to my complaint about unauthorized credit card charges 1.5 years later. It was a nightmare. Thank goodness it wasn't a huge amount.
i literally got off the phone with eFax ( on +1323 817 3205) i got a customer service rep with a strange accent that tried convincing me to go for alternative services and plans.. i insisted i have no more use for the service..
she asked a few verification questions and cancelled my account!
i just received an email confirmation from efax.com stating "Per your request, your account has been cancelled. Billing for eFax® number XXXXXXXXXXXXX will cease immediately. "
I have just signed up last week for this and this is what I am getting into. I am running into problems with the customer service department. I keep getting the run-around, being put on hold, etc. I signed up for the 30 day free-trial which I thought was free (which is unclear in their service agreement), but they insisted they will charge me instead. I talked to three different reps today and all told a different story to why I was charged. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! A SCAM!

Efax is a FRAUD, I was their client. They charge your credit card the trial period (first month that is free), after that you can do nothing.

Thanks for the tip, very helpful. Since I knew nothing about them, and needed a fax program for my pc, I think I'll keep on looking.
