  • people discussing weighht - please stfu - those are not 45 lb plates, and this isnt about weight this is for conditioning.

  • Your RDL is wrong... you don't know what you're talking about... and who is breathing that hard lifting 55# on the second set of 6 reps? Sounds like you should be working on your cardio instead of making videos

  • its so hard to burn belly fat, i guess i would never have my "six pack abs" i would just give up:( i don't want to give up, but i don't know what to eat or what not to... its so hard:(

  • Narrow grip isnt rough on the shoulders, its just that your trapezius are weak

  • i really hope those are not 45 lb on the sides... cuz if they are then i'm a little bitch :/

  • barbell complex's are the core of my workout, one i like is:

Push-ups off the bar on the floor, pop up to the feet into high pulls, clean to the chest for shoulder press, drop behind the head for squats, back over again for bent over rows. love barbell complex's

  • 55lbs? those are 5lb training plates. that bar might even be wooden. it didn't make a sound. maybe you aren't using it enough and judging from the amount of machines you have, I am right.

  • I did this workout earlier today and I felt like I burned 200 calories in 2 minutes.

Can you make an approximation on how many calories I might have burned using a 65 pound weight? trying to factor in for my calorie counting.

    Thanks

  • is this more effective in losing body fat?? im not doing any off day cardio now...just barbell complex after my resistance training

  • What weight is it in total?

    Uk

  • whats the difference between romanian and regular deadlifts?

  • Heavy weight or not-it`s not about the weight here. Good instructions, although he could have said that he did only one push press.

  • Complexes are usually done with the bar, or 85-95 pounds

  • hes pretty darn strong for his weight I'd say. If that's 135 lbs..or maybe I'm just weak lol

  • Its not. Those plates are plastic.

  • are you dumb do you see the thickness of the plates?thats no more than 80lbs

  • @junmae808 thats 75 pounds not 135.

  • @ShirtsAreGreat it actually is 135- not even close to 75.. 45 pound bar + 2. 45lb weights

  • @nameht55 those arent 45 pound weights on the sides. those are 15's.

  • @ShirtsAreGreat wow if those are 15 pounds then im the last airbender...... no they're definetley 45 pounds they dont even have 15 pound weights in any legitimate gym. look how big they are

  • @nameht55 are you kidding me? look at how skinny they are and yes they do make 15 pound weights. 45 pound weights are like.. 3 times wider than those. funny how that works.

  • @nameht55 Do you know what a bumper plate is? All bumper plates have the same diameter. 15lb is a very common bumper plate weight as the 10lb bumpers tend to fold over when loaded alone.

  • @nameht55 You're wrong.

  • how heavy is the barbell ?

  • Very informative and realistic. Thank You for sharing. Bless you.

  • Good routine, tried it today...gets the heart pumping good!

  • You guys should try watching the Randy Couture Grappling Circuit, it's a barbell complex as well but much better.

  • That's not a push press and that is not a row! This might be the most boring and poorly instructed video I've watched.

  • he did one push press to get to shoulder press position so as not to strain his shoulders from the back position. He says upright rows, but even admits that its really a high pull. I really can't see how this is poorly instructed

  • how do you choose the weight i can do 10 reps with 65lbs shoulder presses

  • i would say just do the barbell. It's 45 lbs.

  • that looks like fun

  • That's not a push press. That's just a shoulder press. When doing a push press, you go into a quarter squat and use your legs to drive up and give the weight a jump start through the low range of the press. This allows you to do more weight without injuring your shoulder.

  • @ruktastic, that is a push press, its the same as shoulder/overhead press. You're thinking of a power snatch

  • haha i'm pretty sure you can't copyright doing an exercise.

  • You've copyrighted exercises? LMAO.

Well, I've copyrighted running...yes, running. No one can show running on anything ever without giving me credit.

    See how rediculous you sound?

  • You have a copyright on exercises? Give me a break. Besides, your videos are boring!

  • I say give credit where credit is due.. I respect the work of Mr. Javorek.

  • You never mention Istvan Javorek - who invented the barbell (and dumbbell) complex! And your second exercise is called a PRESS, not a push-press (which would use your legs). Search on ijavorek for videos (including the original Complexes!).

  • does this technique work on ur abs?

  • hahah i was pissing myself at the "ACE" trainer comment....that guy does give trainers a bad name, craig does a great job.

  • I mean that the plates are shaking around on the bar.

  • The weights are loose, but he does say six repetitions per exercise.

  • your the reason trainers get bad rap. 10 lb. bumper plates always move around with collars (which hes using). he says 6 sets of 6 reps at start of video. warm ups are dependent on so many things (injury, workout type, personal goals, flexibilty, ect) it would be futile to recommend one. I bet your ACE certified.

  • "And thats hoow you do barbell complexes at THE END OF YOUR WORKOUT"

This means that you are already warmed up FOOL.

  • your an idiot.

"AT THE END OF YOUR WORKOUT"

Cos you need to warmup then...

  • "your an idiot" hahahah

  • get over yourself "ACE trainer" he's helping you out with different excercises and your trashing him coz of "loose weights"? suck a fat one you knob gobbling cumstain!

  • its a low weight for him so i would think it is kinda a warm up. Like when i do bench i start with a 45lb on either side to warm up then move onto 2 either side.

  • LMAO

  • vipero00 - A simple bodyweight warm-up is fine. Since you are not using any weight, and using this as more of a conditioning workout, you dont need a long warmup. Also, well typically use this after a regular lifting session, so the muscles will already be prepared.

  • @cbathletics 20 burpees is pretty much the best warmup you can do, imo

  • fightywhitey - You're right that is just a regular overhead press.

archimmes - I'll make a video of the differences!

  • His knees making cliking noises.

  • Craig, please talk about warm up before doing these circuits please.

  • that second exercise is just an overhead press - not a push press

  • What's the difference between romanian deadlifts and conventional deadlifts? They looked the same to be from this angle

  • you go really low on normal deadlifts en your knees bend more. there's also less stretch in the hamstrings

  • romanian d/l's you bend at the waist and lower your upper body. Your knees are flexed, but they don't bend during the exercise. Regular d/l's, as exravdb said, you lower your hips towards the floor and bend your knees. Its more of a squatting movement.

  • Keep up on the great videos. I learn a lot from your expertise.

  • Nice vid.

  • very nice

  • What happened to the push press'?
