  • You look a little younger here Jim...I think the industry has aged you a bit lol ;)

  • Hi, Yes we can hear the music and it is as the man says good, so leave the dial alone. lol

    Regards

    Roger in the U.K.

  • I see you turning your rinse stations on. Do you use a recirculating pump, or fresh water supply for them? If a recirc. pump, how large is it and how often do you change the water?

  • That is extremely cool how that process works

  • I saw this on TV and it blew my mind.

Hell i'm only 18 and I feel old for not knowing about this.

  • Hells Bells in the background. AC/DC Have to love them

  • You're the best!

  • @YeaPhilControllers Any automotive clear coat is the best in my opinion. Hydrographics materials are special order items you can only get when you purchase the equipment. And most paint supplies you can buy at any automotive paint store.

  • @YeaPhilControllers Nope...rinse and clear coat...

  • Brian didn't answer his emails so i went with TWN INDUSTRIES

  • @idrive240 They are good...just a little more pricey...

  • I see alot of different tanks for sale...where did you buy your tank? and are you happy with it?

  • @rlr3rd I would call Brian at Liquid Concepts 501-840-7025

  • Is there a minimum charge? I would like to do a gun frame. Not the action but just the frame its self. And how's scratch resistance?

  • @excavator84 The clear coat we use us the same as automotive clear so it's pretty tough BUT it can be abused...We only quote jobs as the customer brings it in since there are so many different parts and guns and everything else in between.

  • How hard is it to do a skull? Will the film cover all the nooks and crannies in 1 dip or does it take more than one?

  • @tame444 Skulls cover just as good as any other pattern...More than one dip will depend on the item being dipped...some times it takes masking off and re-dipping...just depend on the project...

  • @k2concepts I am a missionary in S.E. Asia about to retire back to the US and looking for something to do. This look good, how do I get started as a small bussiness. Cost of basic set up, grow later. great video poor sound, but it works.

  • @greendrs It is going to cost you about $40,000.00 more or less. Between the tank, a clear booth, a paint booth, rinse tanks, electrical lines, water lines, air lines, paint guns, supplies, drying racks and a place to work out of.

  • I've always wondered about the exact process of that.. that is freakin' AWESOME!!!

  • I've seen other kits that you can buy online and from the looks of it, you just need to monitor the waters temperature. I know you're the resident expert here, so I'm not trying to argue that, but couldn't I just buy the kit from the other company and use your graphics?

  • @Reign0311 Yes you could do that...your results may vary...lol...minimum 5 meter roll would be $80 for the carbon fiber plus shipping...that should be more than enough to do your interior. Please let me know, Jim

  • @k2concepts "your results may vary..." No Kidding!! It's kind of like doing your own dental work. For those of you who what to do it yourself, watch LOTS of UTube videos before you attempt it! Don't plan on saving any money, and be very very patient. It can be done, but probably not on the first try, or the second, or the third...

  • Can I buy the graphics from you guys? I want to do some DIY for my interior of my car. Also, I've heard of people doing valve covers. How well does this process hold up to heat?

  • @Reign0311 It won't do you any good...you need special paint, special activating agent, a heated water tank at a 36 degrees Celsius...etc. etc.

  • WHERE DID YOU BUY THE CARBON FIBER FLIM

  • @DJVAUGHN from our supplier...if you are in the business your supplier should also carry any number of carbon patterns...if you are not in the business you will not be able to buy the film.

  • @DJVAUGHN You can get everything you need from the internet. Look on eBay. The film and activator are the main things you need. The primer used varys from what the material to be dipped is made of. Normal automotive primer works just fine. Krylon makes a product called Fusion that works perfectly on plastic parts. A simple fish tank heater works for the water temp. Just do some searching on the web and you'll find that you can do this yourself for around $250 with ALL the materials needed.

  • @Stylensky Fusion doesn't work...it will wash the colors of the film...we have already tried this years ago with washed down results. Also that guy on EBAY is an idiot...I would not buy a single thing from him as he is a moron. You can buy "Do it yourself" kits from $129 but they are NOT refillable and they are limited to about 1 meter in film. If you want to be legit then invest smartly and not cheaply.

  • i asked a ? in the last video i watched, what is the steps i would have to do if i wanted to do a gun barrel, do i have to sand it to bare metal or could i just rough it a little to get the gun blue off

  • that is friggin amazing

  • What is the name of the distributor?thanks

  • paintball guns thats all i have to say. hahahahahah i may have to get that do it yerself kit for my paint ball guns. does the surface have to be smooth or can it be a rough matte surface.

  • @feareign We have done many paint ball guns. The smoother the surface then the better the finish is but it can be a little rough.

  • Where can you buy the supplies?

  • @gawnca You cannot buy the supplies unless you have already purchased the equipment from the distributor. We do have a small "do it yourself" kit for $135.00

  • @k2concepts So where do I find this kit?

  • @gawnca From us...e-mail us at sales@k2conceptsdotnet

  • this is awsome and i would like to do it i do interior and paint and this would save cost on sublet work

  • @kaoticlwh Not so much. The paint we use is unique to our industry and so is the prep work.

  • Can this be done in a sphere or ball.. or even in cubic?? Thank you

  • @henrywlee Yes the process can be done with any hard non porous object. Sphere's or other object of that origin face their own set of difficulties but most can be worked out and treated successfully.

  • im building a tank can you tell me what kind of hot water heater it uses?

  • @BtrayinMF Just a regular 220v hot water coil

  • 2:20

i was thinking the same thing good tunes!

  • Could I purchase a much smaller setup that would allow me to do small parts only?

  • I just found a small "personal" kit for do it your self kind of people...message me if you want to purchase...

  • Lol ACDC Hell's Bells in the background!

I guessed it before it was distinguishable, when it was barely audible (:35)
