slow 0-60 is the gearing on the audi if the electronics allow it do a 2nd gear start with tiptronic in manual. you can do the same with a 05 touareg V6 with some funny results

Dude, you really need to get to "know" the cars before you comment on them.

The Audi has the radios' volume control on the steering wheel, and the rear seats (unless you push the front all the way back) have tons of room. My mom is 5'10 and I'm 6'4, I can sit in the back seat with a good 3 inches of legroom to spare.

To be honest, the review was alright, but your general lack of knowladge ruined it for me.

I like the review, as a Jeep patriot owner, I really understand his point of view and he's right. In my case, I'm needed a very cheap car so the jeep pariot sport was interesting. Paid 17k CAD for a pariot sport with some options. If I had the 45k budget, I would DEFENATLY go with the audi!!

I'm not in to SUV's but if I'd have the budget and the choise always Audi, Jeep isn't really that good in quality when my best friend drove over a dune with his sisters Wrangler the front axis broke in to 2 pieces (Abu Dhabi dessert)... something that shouldn't have happen with a 4 wheel drive, another time we all went to the dessert in a group of car someone driving a jeep over dune lost cooling liquid after....

The jeep is good on gas, has full time AWD with 4x4 lock mode. And I just saw an '07 LIMITED for sale for $18k with only 20k miles on it. You can have a 2011 patriot with FDII 4x4 for about $22k. The other $23k you would spend on the Audi is just unnecessary BS

TFLcar.com, you should strike some balance in your comparisons and be more responsible with your reviews. How can you possibly compare an Audi to a Jeep? As acknowledged in your video the Jeep obviously costs much less than the Audi. Try comparing the Audi with an equivalent brand that costs just as much. The rear seats in the Q5 move back and forward by the way, and looking at other car reviews, it wasn't so hard to figure that out. In fact several seem to have at least 6-foot guys reviewing it and appeared to have heaps of back seat room.

Anyway the comparison between the two are pretty irrelevant - a person in the market for either wouldn't consider the other car.

I feel bad for the sucker who pays $30K for the Patriot. You can get an FDII model fully loaded for about $25K! Let's see that Audi crawl some trails or take on some high water. And as far as crossovers are concerned, Patriot is at the top of it's class in gas mileage and 4WD capability (beating the CR-V, Rav4, Escape). People buy a Jeep because they want A JEEP and off-road capability. People buying an Audi enjoy comfort, style, and staying on road -- but mostly showing off their money.

God, I could never, ever spend $31k on a 2.4L Jeep Patriot. My God.

Just looking at the offset image of the steering wheel at the end, you can see like a 1/2" gap- the interior is just laughable.

A 27k loaded LIBERTY got 9th place against the 4 cylinder Rav4 and the like on C/D's offroad- based test. That says a lot.

And that 2.4L was barely slower than the Audi's wasteful 3.2 V6 (where'd bragged 270HP all go? into sounding slightly better?) Patriots in US for 2010 start at $18K, Q5s start at $37K. The point TFL made: Patriot gives you a lot on a budget, but if you have flaming money and are shorter than 6 feet tall throw it at an Audi :-D

I'll be honest with you: Nearly every major automotive review team has said that all of Jeep's offerings are way below par except for this guy. The interior is terrible- it isn't more durable as you presume, and is why there is a difference in price (not to mention the much bigger engine-his low 0-60 is b/c he's at altitude, interior, driving dynamics, etc). When it comes down to it, he absolutely should not be testing cars from different segments and implying that one's superior.

I partially agree, this is an apple and oranges comparison. However, sometimes we have to choose between one or the other. In no way was it meant to be a contest! @bg1379 oh, and there is no 1/2" interior gaps like you perceived, tat is te camera angle looking into the thin slit of the airbag cover. I don't mind inexpensive plastic, it's sturdier than leather and easier to maintain. Yes... the plastic is rather sturdy, I've taken pieces off to install a CB mount... Besides, I'm glad if costs were being cut on this Jeep, it was with aesthetics, and not cutting back on brakes and critical operating components...Jeep goes where I want it, WHEN I want to.
