The 'Flying Pancake' was 1 of the prototypes inspired by "The Bell". Old Nazi SS project. In fact, i belive "Die Glocke" was a succesfull prototype. Nazi-Germany made "The Bell", beacuse their airfields we're bombed by allied bombers. They needed planes to take off without the need of an runway.

number 3 is not a prototype anymore the ADS is actively saveing lives everyday in the 2 wars. and onboard ships. the ADS works great at check points and that where most are used. that and the LARD (Long Range Acoustic Device) are great ways of getting ppl to move or stop without having to hurt or kill anyone.
