I have the both one day, started whit D60, then D90, in one year i have the D90 like a extra camera when i bought D300s :) But totay i only have D300s and i have sold the D90, but sometimes i miss it, it was fun to walk around i evenemangs and have the both cameras on my shoulders ;) But next years, it's maby D300s and D700 (Y)
why didn't u put the other battery in the d90 -____- cause i have a d90 and its way faster than this. smh d300 and d90 practically the same. can the d300 take video??
i've seen some amazing shots taken by the d90.... i'll wait till the d800 comes out so i can grab me a d700 when the price drops a little. i've noticed that nikon dslr's do not drop in value much tho.
@worldbmx not the sensor its the shutter mechanism that breaks lol and its easily replaceable as well but it rarely happens ! even after 100k, Take photos dont worry about it !
@jeglikerost Okey, well I guess it won't break that easily. As hilltop530 says.. "I have taken near 250,000 shots on my D90 and, it still works flawlessly". I can stay calm and keep shot awesome pictures! =)

The size difference between the D90 and the D300 is wild,I love the size of the D300.....

That D300 has a grip on it? Man I love the size of that D300 and wish the D3100 I am considering was of similar size. That D300 looks gorgeous.

both cameras are great but come now, lets face the facts that the D300 will eat up D90 just like dinner !

first maybe you shoot fast but your qualitie of image goes down
d 90 and 300 have the same board so why you want to pay more for the same thing and pay for faster to loose quality
and why by a 300 nikon shoould. annouce is d400 d800 and d4 in january a the las vegas event

I've heard that the sensor in the D90 has a limit of 100 000 shoots before it "breaks" is that true?
If so isn't it stupid to just shoot "tons" of pictures on nothing then?

@hilltop530 really ? did you got your shutter changed ? after 100k
stuge234 2 months ago
@stuge234 Nope. It's never given me any problems. I use it all the time as my scouting - carrying cam. It's a solid machine.
hilltop530 2 months ago
@worldbmx It's tested to work up to 100,000 exposures, so they're basically saying that after that, no guarantees.
