I'm Canadian, and I totally agree with most of what you say... with the exception of "aluminium".
All of the other elements were named with a "uminium" at the end, but when an American discovered aluminum, he named it with "uminum" instead. I don't understand how that transformed..

I hate how your country legalises guns, as protection. But you only need a gun as protection against a gun. So get rid of guns, and nobody will have a gun, therefore no need to protect yourself from one. Works pretty damn well over here!
