As far as I am concered, I do prefer Kerry Ellis (Elphaba) and Kendra Kassebaum (Glinda) as I do like their tone of their voices better than the originals...but that's my opinion only and luckily we all do have different taste.

kerry ellis has an amazing voice, but when she was on broadway, her vowels were a little pinched, so i didn't think it was as good. i've heard her singing without putting on an american accent, and it sounds a lot better than she did when i saw her on broadway.
